Who buys games in a store?
Anyone buying console games or people who are on bandwith caps.
The new ratings do not apply to games bought online.
Goodbye retail.
So much ignorance to bad parenting. It hurts.
HAHAHAHAHAH Call of Duty will lose 3/4 of it's community unless they get steam
This has to be one of the worst ideas for a rating system, ever.
" So, what did you do to get locked up?" " I slaughtered a family and raped two children. What about you?" " I sold a video game to a kid." Government logic.
This is taking it too far. I mean, jail? Seriously?
What the fuck jail time, seriously? Jail is for people who have to be kept away from society because they could harm others. Selling a videogame to a minor shouldn't take away your damned freedom.
But each game sold to an underage minor will be creating a killer! :downs:
Really?, Jail time?, For being underaged and buying M rated games? That sounds....Damn, i can't think of a word to explain how retarded this sounds.
Who buys games in a store?
Console gamers.
Because people buying children mature video games are criminal scum of society and need to be put to justice.
"What are you in for?" "Selling an M rated game to a 13 year old." Come on.
I think the last time I cared about the age rating system was 1999 when I tried to buy syphon filter for the PlayStation at 12 years when it was an 18 rated Elspa game.
Wow game ratings are part of the legal system in the UK? I thought that was just Australia and Germany.
because a child would never lie about his age
I actually don't think this is a bad idea. Nobody is actually going to get arrested over this because nobody would be stupid enough to sell a game to a minor if they know they could face jail time. It just means that then the parents would have to buy the game for them, and hopefully the parents will pay more attention to the rating when they're the ones buying it.
The BBFC was the easiest and fairest classification board. Ignore European classification, it's just not as comprehensive.
There are alot of people that still buy from retail due to shitty net Especially here in Australia
Wow game ratings are part of the legal system in the UK? I thought that was just Australia and Germany.
It's nothing like Germany and Australia. There's rarely an censorship, and of there is it would literally involve removing something really small. The BBFC managed games the same way as films, so only a few seconds would be lost, but the original feeling would remain intact. Unlike the censored Left 4 Dead 2 etc.
Probably old men who dont know anything about computers or games in general which decided this dumb law.
Now that i'm 18 I don't give any fucks about the age rating system :v:
I never did, in Denmark most people don't give a fuck, which is how it should be like..
How the fuck do you check the age of a 12 year old? What ID would they carry?
