Xbox 360 has 'a lot more than two years' left, MS boss says
Well, I play a lot of various games, also older ones. Sometimes it is an hassle to optimize your pc or tweak it for a particular game. Besides you have to keep track of overheating and that your pc is cooled. All those things are really annoying to me.
I find that consoles have more of an overheating problem than nearly every pc does unless it's some years old prebuilt office computer which has been left to collect dust and clog up all the fans- which would happen to a console anyway.
With the same quality you get on the Xbox360, myeah I actually believe you can. Also I don't know what he means by maintenance, but the games costs more on consoles than PC, so the price you pay extra for the games will accumulate over time and end up being quite a lot of money.
I've never once tweaked my PC for any games. Keep track of overheating? What? Either it overheats on the first game you ever played or it doesn't and you never have to worry about it again, end of story.
You can complain about having to pay for it in the first place. Playing online on PS3 is completely free, like it should be. There is no justification for paying for online gaming on the Xbox360. Of course it's absolutely no money, but it's money you shouldn't have to spend at all. Add that price to the extra price of games and you can hear the money ticking in.
Yeah the increased cost is somwhat a drawback, I usually try to get some cheap games at some stores or such. Well I had to tweak a lot to run newer games, perhaps you already have like a super good rig. But some games that I played were really starting to mess up my pc. Usually after longer sessions, it's not as easy as you mention it to be.
PS3 is free but the multiplayer is a lot less stable, servers are generelly worse than at Xbox Live. You pay for decent servers. It is okay, but I have some friends which are really frustrated with the Ps3 because some of the games have horrible multiplayer latency. Consoles do not overheat anymore, that used to be a problem in 2004.

Well if you start customizing your shit (especially if you overclock it) you'll obviously run into problems. But you never really have to tweak anything at all to play, I've always gone with 2 year old hardware that's budget friendly when buying a new computer and never had a problem running the newest games available. Right now I do however have a semi-beast of a machine which is meant to stay for at least 5 years.
Never really noticed, but I never played many online multiplayer games on the PS3 in the first place.
Compare inviting friends to play a game on a console to inviting friends to bring their computers over for a LAN party
Local console multiplayer is much easier
Not really actually. I tried both multiple times and I prefer bringing my PC over. When bringing a console over, I always take a lot of games with me. On the PC, I just bring the cables, my keyboard, mouse and PC. When bringing my console I first need to check if there's a disc in my console. Then I just unplug as usual. I bring the cables, console, games and controllers with me, which takes more space than my PC does.

Well, my pc was really put together by all pieces of hardware. Some of it was really overheating a lot even with major cooling. My pc also sounded like a fucking airplane :v: It had to tweak it for Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Stalker.

How is that possible, your pc must be small. Whenever I had a lan, I always needed a car to move my pc, screen, keyboard, mouse, cables and some misc stuff. But with a console I have a nifty little bag. Then I even can walk or use public transportation.
360 as an entertainment system has more than 2 years left, much more, but for a gaming console it's time is up. For gaming the system is outdated but for the shit that Microsoft uses it for now like Netflix and general entertainment it is fine.

Get a big bag, like a gym bag.

Your pc can be as compact as possible and still pretty high end, no problems with cooling etc as long as the cable management/water cooling is fine it will run well.

That is pretty move-friendly.

This is the cleanest PC case I've ever seen.

While it's neat I don't see how cable management matters in transporting pc box.

It matters with his temperature problems.
It also matters because the smaller your case gets the more the cable management is needed to be proper.
I kind of see what you mean by having hassle installing games, but I haven't really got such issues since about 5 years or so. Besides, thanks to Steam, I haven't bought a physical game for a while and steam just install those games automatically.
I have never seen any problems with installing games and really don't get why people complain about it, it's far better than having to use the disc to play with.
Besides, with steam you don't even have to install the games. Download them, and they're ready to play.

That is one hell of a slick pc, unforuntely you won't be able carry that with a screen an all the other stuff that you need all by your own. It's to much, at least for longer distances.
Also this dicussion should be in mass debate.

If you are going by that, where is your 50 inch tv going to be put in your pocket when you go over by your friends house. I am sure he has no more than one tv in there.
That is for when 6 or 8 would be playing at the-same time. Only time when you need two xboxes.
Most households already have a tv, so there won't be any problem with that. No need to take your own screen/tv with you. Most people then also have a spare screen which can be used. But seriously, everyone has a tv.
Civil why are you trying so hard :v:
Completely unrelated. But I think I know why they named the xbox Xbox 360.
Because when you are playing in a 4 player splitscreen the height of each little window you get is 360.
Like this:

So if a 3840x2160 screen becomes the new standard and a new Xbox is released.
Each little window could become 1920x1080.

i suppose, i'm just saying you can't beat a mouse as far as accuracy goes. maybe mouse/joystick combo for ultimate devastation? has that already been done? what?
I never understood how people that defend the consoles shitty specs think that better hardware only yields better graphics. Honestly, how tech retarded do you have to be?
