How the [I]fuck[/I] is loot box gambling in video games on the same level as car manufacturers leaving fatal flaws in their vehicles, causing people to die?
Yeah, they're businesses, and they at least attempt to make money through a way that doesn't destroy the player's experience in a competitive video game. They sell COSMETICS. That seems completely reasonable to me, compared to the shit that games like call of duty and star wars battlefront pull, where you have to grind or pay money just to unlock actual content like weapons, classes and upgrades in a competitive match.
