Yes [t]http://m.rockstargames.com/V/img/global/screenshots/V-12-1280.jpg[/t]
Fuck yeah, semi's! [editline]24th August 2012[/editline]
Fuck yeah, semi's!
Also, that looks like the stadium in the background...
Yes [t]http://m.rockstargames.com/V/img/global/screenshots/V-9-1280.jpg[/t]
Those textures are less than nice
[thumb]http://m.rockstargames.com/V/img/global/screenshots/V-12-1280.jpg[/thumb] Hmm, are they doing some kind of Action Hijack system like in Sleeping Dogs? Because that would truly be the greatest thing they could do.
Those textures are less than nice
Do remember how the first GTA IV screenshots looked like, they were even worse still, they impressed us.
How is that good? These look worse than GTA IV, not every shot obviously, but some are really bad
Consoles. The point is they look good and it's GTA, it's never been about graphics.
I don't know about you guys but I'd love to be able to play as multiple characters like in EFLC, I like stories with different perspectives.
How is that good? These look worse than GTA IV, not every shot obviously, but some are really bad
Not from what I've seen. At worst they are on par with IV.
Not from what I've seen. At worst they are on par with IV.
Texture quality wise it's possible (at least for the consoles), but general aesthetics and art quality is way higher than IV.
I sincerely hope not. SA's story was so fucking annoying, it was all "hey nigga" this and "fuck you cracker" that, it just wasn't a good story at all. But Rockstar has changed a lot in the past years, focusing on more than just gameplay with their later titles.
I dunno about you I found that type of talking hilarious.
It looks like there having issues putting the semi in the game, you can see the wheels on the trailer bow in and the truck wheels bow out... Mind you, its not the finished product.

I'm just hoping they use tessellation on the PC version for the car damage, that way it'll look pretty damn incredible instead of cool-but-low-poly like in IV. Oh and of course enhance the character models with tessellation like in Max Payne 3.
[t]http://www.rockstargames.com/V/img/global/screenshots/V-11-1280.jpg[/t] oh my fucking GOD
I know this is a late reply but the only thing that looks better than RDR so far is the people's faces, but even then not by much. I don't think consoles will have a hard time with this at all. But perhaps multiple disks?
[t]https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/red.dead.redemption.03.lg.jpg[/t] [t]http://www.rockstargames.com/V/img/global/screenshots/V-11-1280.jpg[/t] GTA V looks much better, will look even better on the PC.

AA with deferred lighting is really tricky, and can only really be done under DX9 using a post-process method such as FXAA or SMAA (SMAA is pretty much the best form of AA there is even compared to true HW AA, at least for games - 3D renderers still have better hardware AA but obviously you can't do that stuff real-time anyway.) But with DirectX 11 you can have a hybrid of both FXAA / SMAA and some form of multi-sample AA because of how DX11 allows you to multisample multiple render targets which are used for deferred lighting.

Tessellation is good and all but it's almost always fairly lazily implemented.
