I'm one of those 1 million, do I get a commemorative plaque, garry?
But really, good job.
Awesome, that means you grossed about 5 million?
You have to figure in the sales that Steam had. Regardless, it is still a lot of fucking money.
Congratulations on the million sales.
It was kind of a joke.
I didn't even know there was a sequel announced, was there?
oh, no sequel. I was just being bit ignorant.
Doesn't feel like 5 years ago that I was hyped for GMod's release (mainly because of hoverballs). Those were the good days.
Congrats!
It's interesting to see how the sales have actually increased over the years. I guess that's what happens when your game gets advertised primarily through word of mouth, unlike AAA titles that make the most sales in the first month after release and then just die down.
Congratulations Garry. Spend many hours of my live in this mod. 1064 hours to be exact.
Congrats
I really enjoyed the first months of Garry's Mod 10, there weren't so many mods, but the atmosphere was a whole other if you ask me.
Maybe it's just that I've turned 18.
I remember sitting on steam at around 12PM, my mother told me to go to bed, but I just HAD to get this game called Garry's Mod 10 at release date.
And then Garry's Mod release broke the steam servers for a whole hour! It was amazing.
Thanks for all these years Garry! You're what all indie developers should be like.
Awesome!
Thanks for all the fun memories I had with friends building silly contraptions :>
Had to happen sometime, grats!
Thanks for all of the memories of making comics.. all the way back from when garrysmod.org would let you host screenshots/comics. I had so much fun, waking up every morning and checking all of my stuff to see if anyone commented on it.
Honestly, that was a big part of my life.. weird, but it was.
Congratulations Garry! Oh how I love Gmod.
Great job, now go break gmod again for a celebration! You earned it!
Is gmod still broken? I don't know, i don't play it anymore really.
[editline]26th July 2011[/editline]
In all seriousness gmod changed my life and introduced me to friends that i have been talking to for years now.
I love you Garry.
Damn, dude.
That's seriously a major achievement.
Having played this mod for more than 300 hours, I can assure you that you that plenty of people are loyal to that game.
Because Headcrab vs Antlion wars are so damned fun!
load of emuney
I remember when it seemed there were infinte things to do in garry's mod. So many mods. Oh my god yes.
Congratulations Garry !
Oh and, you should thank filefront for me, they where the ones that introduced me, with their screenshot of the day.
Most of them had the "Gmod 8.4b" watermark or something like that. So that's how I found it.
6 years.... I congratulate you!
I'd also like to congratulate, good job there!
I wonder just how big the secret update is.
GMOD will finally get a leafblower.
Top work Garry
I remember when I saw a video of Gmod on Fun Motion, and it looked so frickin awesome! I HAD to get this game! So I finally convinced my dad that Steam wasn't some fishy subscription service and bought it as my first game on Steam, together with CS:S, and that must've been the best choice ever made! I had so much fun with the game in the early days!
Congratulations Garry for making one of the most fun physics sandboxes on the planet!
load of emuney
