Could the multiplayer to this game get any more boring. Tried the free weekend out last night, it consisted of walking round a corner, and either killing or dying within about a second. Then waiting for respawn. How can this be so interesting to people?
It's accessible. It takes bare effort to learn and get 'good' at it. I can't believe they actually encrypted the config.ini for this. I'd be able to run it absolutely fine if I could turn off the shitty DOF and other post processing features.
I miss those times when COD was more focused in singleplayer. COD 1 was a long game and very entertaining. I also liked how different each new game looked.
I'd say blops 2 is the most singleplayer-focused COD yet strike missions, multiple endings, multiplayer by yourself with bots the singleplayer alone is definitely worth around ~$35 but to get it along with zombies and the multiplayer at $40 is actually a decent price --- why is it that most of facepunch has an issue with a 33% off sale, but rabidly defended the $120 pricetag on battlefield 3?
I enjoy these weekends, good time wasters. I have fun, but not enough to justify the price.
Call of Duty is just one of those games you buy so you can entertain guests. If you own at least one of the games, post CoD3-Doesn't-Exist era that is, you're pretty much set. [editline]some time[/editline] Preferably on console that is.
the singleplayer alone is definitely worth around ~$35 but to get it along with zombies and the multiplayer at $40 is actually a decent price
Fighting in SP is pretty much just Whac-A-Mole with guns. I did enjoy the characters more than I usually do though, and the different paths the game can take were nice.
I've been having fun with it, but I won't buy it, the longer I played the more i started to notice the bullshit. I don't think games with weapon unlocks apply to me anymore. I do wish more games had the flashy icons and shit that show up though its visually pleasing.
-snip-
I downloaded it and it was easy until I got to level ~30 and then I got my butt kicked every time FOV slider is nice though and as usual it's as fun as any other modern Call of Duty game
why is it that most of facepunch has an issue with a 33% off sale, but rabidly defended the $120 pricetag on battlefield 3?
idk about you but I bought BF3 at $50 and bought another copy for a friend when it was 80% off for 9.99 or if you want to go the other way with the DLC - black ops 2 is 90.99 even with the sale! lol
but rabidly defended the $120 pricetag on battlefield 3?
God fucking dammit [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] WHY ISN'T FURTHER ADDONS PACKAGED WITH THE GAME THEY SHOULD BE FREE WAH WAH WAH
It's not that like that's a huge detour from any other modern FPS game. They are all easy to get decent at in pubs.

I find secondary weapons in this game pointless. Not because they don't have a use. I just find the Combat Knife way more fun to use. I also generally play better with it than even my primary so there's that too.
Launchers aren't that useless if there's a lot of drones above.
