uh we all knew already that it was definitely going to come out for a while now
Yes, but now it's officially gold.
Can't wait to pick up both copies I have preordered.
Can't wait for my Balls of Steel to come in!
What does it mean to go gold? I'm assuming it means that the game is completely, 100% going to be released.
Is this real life?
I thought I'd be 60 when this game finally came out.

I'm sure that it's when the game is completed to a point that it is able to be commercially released.

It means development on the game is complete, and they will now start printing disks.
Am I the only one who isn't hyped for this game? I mean, it's cool and badass and stuff but the gameplay videos shown so far didn't really convince me to buy it.
You're not alone. I see why all the comotion about it being released, but I don't see it as a huge deal.
Bigger then any CoD, sure, ofc, thats not even questionable.
Bigger then... Ep3? Huh, I wonder if this would be bigger then Ep3...
In one side, we got a sort of generic game that pays it off with badassery and a legendary comeback after it was promised 12 years ago.
In the other, we got a game that should be in development ever since 2007/08, from a company that releases something along with some technological improvement to their engine along with more awesome stuff, and that we know NOTHING about but some speculation that might not even be true and some ideas about where are we going and what are we gonna do.
I bought the Balls of Steel edition. I have no idea why, it's not a particularly good or tasteful collector's edition, but it just seemed right somehow.
Been a long time

I still want to play the version from 2001; I know the trailer was just prerendered stuff, but still. There is something about those graphics that make it less like, well graphics, and more like a certain art style. And I like that style
Well no, it is said to be at least 3 times longer in duration than MW2.
6 hours then? What a disappointment.
6 hours then? What a disappointment.
The devs have said it is way longer then most of the games you can pick up on shelf today, then since its Duke Nukem your going to have tons an tons of secrets and easter eggs so you can go back and explore. I'm expecting 20 hours at the least.
I also don't see all the hate about DNF, is it because some of you people think that because it's been in development for 14 years it must be shit?, seriously the main argument I've been hearing is that it is generic, how can something that was started before any of the generic shooters of today be generic, especially since gearbox has said that the game was basically done when they received it, they just had to change some things and fix tons and tons of bugs.
Basically calling DNF generic is like calling pong generic.

Yeah, you may beable to cruise through the story in 6 hours if you just go straight at it, but its Duke Nukem you got all the site stuff to do, secrets to find and one liners to say.
Heck maybe some missions will be so fun you'll want to go back and play them again.
Basically calling DNF generic is like calling pong generic.
But pong is generic.
Thank god. I was almost out of gum.
...And then the World imploded.
Heh, yeah. *Touches wooden Table*
In all seriousness, though. For a game that has a whole Wikipedia article dedicated to its production alone, this better be worth it.
Gearbox said there is atleast 16 hours of gameplay from start to finish of the campaign without finding secrets, easter eggs, or alternate paths.
And I laughed when people said that this would be out before Episode 3 >:(
Just waiting for it to be one big disappointment after all these years...
I want to buy the balls of steal edition...but not sure if it would be worth the cash.

pretty sure it sold out within a few days back in february
Pretty amazing to know it's actually coming out. Sort of like waiting for Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy
"Yeah sure, I'll do X when DNF goes gold"
well it's time to remind some ppl their promises
:toxx:
uh we all knew already that it was definitely going to come out for a while now
Hubbahubbahubba, I'm so unimpressed.
