I'm not that familiar with how Steam sales work, but I want to get CSGO and it's $7. It's already cheap right now but will it will get cheaper later in the sale or would it just go back to the regular price within a day or so?
Wait for it to drop even lower since it may be on Featured or Flash Sale. If it hasn't gotten any lower by the end of the sale, buy it on the last day.
Oh thanks for reminding me I need CS:GO too

If you can wait, it'll deffo go on daily deal or flash at some point for five.
I completely forgot about this. Unfortunately I can't spend much, probably gonna skip this just like few previous. The new releases are often still too expensive and I got most of the old ones I'm interested in.
I think I'd rather wait for the Xmas sale.
Gonna get Dark souls and maybe get shadowrun or Lego Marvel later on.
Quite surprised KOTR isn't on sale. :pwn:
Skyrim.
£4.
Must..Resist..
Want help with that?
Basically your whole game will be spent in draugr ruins fighting draugr, magic is roughly on the level of totally useless, and smithing is really hard to level unless you abuse design oversights.
Still worth the 7.50.
Great modding community.
Oddly enough, there are other games that are -75% off (AI War, for example) and yet no mention of that. Not much help for the lesser known developers in that case :/
Think State of Decay will go any cheaper? I've been wanting to get it and $6 off seems pretty good.
Is it possible to have the background from the featured page as a seperate background?
(or a steam one for that matter)

Steam Sale Rules
1. Do not buy games unless they are a Daily Deal, Flash Sale, or Community Choice as they may go cheaper. Steam has 2 sale prices for every title – the duration sale discount and the promotion sale discount.
2. If a game has not been a Daily Deal, Flash Sale, or Community Choice buy it on the last day of the Steam Sale.
3. Purchase games as gifts if you do not intend to play them straight away. You can still redeem them on your account later but this provides you the flexibility to resell the game or trade with another Steam user should you realise you do not want the game.
4. Use your wishlist to track games you really want. When they go on sale Steam will email you about the discounts.
5. Multi packs for vendors/publishers are rarely discounted beyond their duration sale discount level so these are safer buys if you want to buy full publisher catalogues but do note the games may still be cheaper individually.
6. If you miss a Daily Deal, Flash Sale or Community Choice, do not buy the game until the last day of the sale. This is because Steam has in the past introduced encore sales on the last day, which may include the game you want again.
Steam Sale Guidance
1. If a title is discounted by 66% or more (typically 75% or more), this is likely the cheapest it will be in the sale.
2. Brand new titles are not typically discounted more than 10-20%.
Why is BOII so much money.

I've been wanting to get Outlast, is it worth it? Could someone give me a pro-con list for it?
Wait, isn't the christmas sale like a month away?
You say that like it's a bad thing. :v:
I might get Morrowind GOTY for £6.49
Might pick up that and Skyrim Legendary edition and spend my entire winter playing nothing but TES games.
Spec Ops The Line any good?
Spec Ops The Line any good?
Decent visuals, generic as all hell gameplay (your standard run of the mill TPS), interesting setup if you know absolutely NOTHING about the story. Hugely overrated, but it certainly isn't the worst thing on the market.

personally it looked pretty good, and I'm personally jaded as fuck to horror (wasn't all that scary to me but should to others), I liked it a lot, there's enough running to keep one interested and pretty dramatic with an interesting ending as well. If you liked Penumbra / Amnesia it's a great game, just way way less puzzle elements than those had.
it's a 7 hour play if you're jaded like me and can bumrush a little, so if you really are affected by horror you'll find a big of a longer playthrough.

So I want to get Dawnguard and Dragonborn, which together are $20, BUT the legendary edition of skyrim is around $20. If I buy that, will it give me an extra copy of Skyrim to give away?
[editline]27th November 2013[/editline]
And an extra copy of hearthfire?

yes, after that you can still trade it for something else on the community hub or just give it to a friend. Its pretty much what i'm about to do.
Spec Ops The Line any good?
Yeah, it's got a great story, but don't spoil it and look it up beforehand. It'll be boring at first, but it's worth sticking with it

Are you 100% sure? I mean, if not, it's not like I'm losing much anyway, just like $0.39
