I love how you all say WoW is dying, yet it still has about 10 million subs.
It sure is dying alright!
oh yeah subscribers dropping by 5 percent isn't anything to be concerned about. ESPECIALLY when it happens within the timespan of a month in a half :downs:

Because it's not like the game is on the tail end of an expansion with no new content planned until the next one comes out. :downs:

sure its "concerning" but it happens all the time... no new content planned until mists of pandaria(which isnt in 'closed' beta testing yet) means that people who dont want to play the current content for the next 6 months are just going to unsubscribe and announcing pandas probably didnt help much either in china(or people that take wow races serious(hurr durr kids game))

About half of the lost subscribers were Chinese, who A) play an entirely different version of the game, and B) Live in Asia, a region of intense F2P competition that isn't quite as open or bustling here in the west. Considering natural subscriber loss that occurs at the end of every expansion, the amount of lost subscribers from the NA/EU/Oceanic regions is probably far less than the 2 million that gets thrown around.
I can imagine, based on how I and alot of people I know play, that wow subscribers raise between august and march and are lower the rest of the time anyway.
No thanks, I'd rather wait for Guild Wars 2.

Okay, thanks for the completely relevant post.
I don't think WoW is nearing the end of its life. I just think it's nearing the end of it's reign as the "top MMO".
I'm predicting that something will soon take that spot. Maybe it will be GW2 or maybe it will be a new Blizzard game. Who knows.
You can tell people are really searching for a new MMO to play because every time a new one comes out, WoW people always claim they'll leave until they find out the game isn't that great after all.
This looks exactly like that celestial horse mount. Lazy designers.
Okay, thanks for the completely relevant post.
Yeah, how dare he discuss the game on news regarding the game.
i quited because they killed low level twinks, i enjoyed that more then level 70 PVP, they even let you pay gold so you can stop getting EXP only after fucking up twinks that made low level pvp.
(a twink is where someone level to 19/29/39 etc and get the best gear he can get for that level, hard but was very rewarding)

yeah 1 shotting people 6 levels under you was way more fun than balanced pvp imo
implying guild wars 2 is relevant to WoW?
In the context of not buying it because there is another release that would take its place, yes.
none of the content is "exciting" until 85
Depends really, if you've never played the game before, it can entertain you for weeks, even months.
The only thing that bothers me today is that every single fucking low level player has full heirloom gear. I miss that RP feeling vanilla and TBC had.
Not to mention that thing looks like a pile of steaming shit
I might give this game another try, it used to be a lot of fun, if anyone wants to recruit me PM me.
I guess most players left because they wanted to try something new?
From what i heard a pretty big sum of WoW players went to EVE and SW:TOR

if youve never played then scroll of resurrection doesnt mean anything to you

you don't have to be a 19 twink to kill a level 13, and most low level pvp was 90% twinks so it did balance it self out because almost everyone was a twink.
if you can put time in to a twink it should reward you and that's what it did, people like me who was sick of max level pvp found fun in low level pvp, who'd punish players for having fun?
oh wait blizzard.

they didnt punish you at all now you just turn off exp and you queue with other twinks the only way someone can see a problem with this is if they only wanted to kill low levels
once alot of the major mmo games has been released, they will suffer a huge hit, and i'm hitting as high as 4 million off their subscription, as most will go to guild wars, archeage, Tera online, and other mmo games that are coming this year and next year.

Just like every other MMO that has come out in the past 7 years, right?
they didnt punish you at all now you just turn off exp and you queue with other twinks the only way someone can see a problem with this is if they only wanted to kill low levels
they really gimped twinks by making high level enchants only affect the weapon when you're level 70 same goes for leg enchants and other armour enchants

the only one that you listed that i can see taking lots of people is guild wars 2 but it wont be 4 million lost thats for sure. anyone that is tired of wow and is waiting for gw2 has already quit
If anyone reading this thread wants to try and get back into WoW and wants a scroll go ahead and let me know and I will send you one.

oh man you got soooo punished! how dare they make enchants meant for max level not work on level 10s what were they thinking... you keep acting like twinking was hard to do when all it took was gold and a few runs though dungeons
I quit WoW because I didn't have the time and money to play. I never got to kill the Lich King, and I didn't do a single raid in Cataclysm. I might come back now that the raid finder is in-game.

why did you remove me from steam
Just like every other MMO that has come out in the past 7 years, right?
this one will be different, as MoP only attracts very little people's hype. WoW is getting old and will soon be an equal population of Everquest 2 in the near future, as people eye on out the new mmorpg game.

I didn't know I did! I apologize, I will add you back.

Playing both EQ2, and WoW. I'm going to go ahead and say it won't be several years before WoW drops down to EQ2's pop.
