God this is the same kind of idiot who complained that you can't save anywhere in Alien: Isolation. For these people everything has to be an easy action game or it sucks. The kind of idiot who asks why they have to try to survive in a fucking survival horror game, the kind of idiot who asks why they have to sneak in a stealth game, the kind of idiot who complains that you can't mash attack in a character action game.
How these people end up writing about games, and becoming editors even, when they can barely play them is fucking mind boggling.
Hence why good games go largely unnoticed and shit cash grabs get ALL the attention.

There are probably a million different ways the reviewer could have said what he wanted to without sounding like a gigantic took, somehow he missed every single one.
you cretin
I clicked this cause I thought maybe capcom did a porting disaster but instead it's some tard who's mad this isn't slenderman or five nights at freddies or some horseshit
"the original resident evil is such a terrible game"
why do I feel personally offended by this fucker
The real Biohazard here is this fucking idiots articles.
I actually do enjoy the genre. I like Resident Evil 2 and 4 the most out of the entire series.
This is just lies, he can't possibly enjoy resident evil 2. It has a lot of the same mechanics as the first game, and those mechanics weren't changed in the remake.
He can't even handle the survival or horror aspects of survival horror so he probably means he enjoys the genre on youtube.
This guy's a total hack.

That was the impression I got, that he was talking out of his ass.
How can you love RE2 and mention RE3 but then say the remake sucks? If anything, the remake takes what was done in RE1 and improves upon. The crimson heads are arguably an excellent mechanic, and definitely something to keep the player on their toes. Not to mention the graphics really lend to that scary atmosphere.
Is it wrong that I can imagine that the writer crumpled to the floor in tears when he expected to kill a Hunter with 1 shot from the Beretta and got his head ripped off by the Hunter High Five? Or am I giving him too much credit in assuming he made it that far?
so just a headsup but Jill's tits now jiggle when she walks.
I don't know how anyone can assume this is a bad remake.

If he didn't complete it he didn't deserve to review it.
Unless a game is genuinely broken/unplayable no one has the right to put out a review without running through something start to finish.
idk if something is either not for them or is just really bad (but not unplayable) i dont think you need to finish it
played roughly 3 hours of shellshock 2, its a shitty game 3 hours in its probably a shitty game 8 hours in
You weren't being paid to review that though.

this has been in the game since the gamecube release
You KNOW a "shitty" game is great when it's pissing off the modern gamer to bloody tears.

It seems to have been intensely toned up in the HD Remake.

how the tits do i embed a webm?
there is a big difference between objective review and opinion piece
game journalists that are also editors and can push-publish their "article" seem to not understand that

Aiight. I stand corrected, admittedly I haven't played REMake in several years, it's why I've been so exccited for this port.
That's weird. I was like, 10 when I first played ReMake. How did I not notice that much tit jiggling?

Why do Japanese devs always overdo the jiggle? Boobs don't jiggle that much unless they're running.

Oh wow; I didn't even realize it was like that in the Gamecube version. Maybe younger me just didn't notice.
EDIT: Game is unlocked on Steam!
people like this are why resident evil 6 is what it is
I like boobs.
Im a boob lover too but the dude does make a point, no lady in the world has boobs that jiggle that much by stepping
its like shes got jell-o nailed to her chest
few ladies have an ass like that either but the inquiry starts and ends at 'it's japanese made'.

God.
Can you imagine how amazing a game would look today if it were done like REmake?
I've already done two videos on it. I think it's okay.
I dunno, I'm enjoying it. And I've only played REmake once before, and that was years ago.
I would like a Resident Evil 2 game done like this.
Just beat the game!

Anyway, some final observations; I was getting some performance issues in the Lab. Not really frame rate drops, but the transitions between screens took a moment to load. During this time, nothing is moving so it cannot kill you, but it was a little bit annoying cause it was slowing me down, even if it was just by 2-3 seconds per transition.
Overall, pretty satisfied with the REmaster. Good performance, the improved character/item Models, and the 60 FPS stood out as things I'd praise. The 16:9 solution, while an improvised solution, does work as intended, and I found myself switching between 16:9 and 4:3 and both work pretty well (I played mostly in 16:9). The only negative is that a few of the backgrounds were really, terribly butchered, but only a few of them really stood out to me as worth mentioning. The Leaderboards are kind of a fun, if pointless addition.

to be completely fair, the save points were more of a bad game design decision rather than a genuine survival horror feature. i really liked that game dont get me wrong, but you cant praise it for its faults.

Fans have been asking for that for years, it's in the same boat as the FFVII remake. The most we'll ever get if we're lucky are PC ports with higher poly PS1-era models (which I would have no problem with by the way). I'm just glad I can finally play REmake on PC without having to dick around with an emulator.
Despite some of the backgrounds being shop chopped (good GOD that Shark Tank area), It has definitely stood the test of time. For a 2002 game it still looks amazing.
