ArcSys 40k fighter when?
Im curious if its possible for a W40k puzzle game to be made
flash, you're entitled to think Platinum Games would make the WH40k - the one every other game from now and until the extinction of the human race will aspire to recreate. But I disagree.
I do not think Platinum Games would be able to make a good WH40k game, largely because the games they've made in the past are so different to what a 40k games requires. 40k games are gritty, bloody, and dark,
whereas the games Platinum tend to make are flashy, fast-paced, and takes place in not particularly dark universes; at least not in comparison to 40k.

A Sisters of Battle game that played even fractionally like Bayonetta would not be a 40k game, because it would be so over-the-top (even for a 40k game) that it would suck out what makes 40k, well, 40k.
Agreed wholeheartedly. Visceral brutal combat is what 40k needs. Flashy in the sense of DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA but Bayonetta style Sister of Battle just seems... dirty.
Have a favorite developer thats totally fine. But saying that someone should make something to mirror their other work as another franchise is just... not creative.
Fuck it let EA make Warhammer 40k Battle Front. Instead of loot boxes for cards/cosmetics/progression, every copy you buy is a totally different character. Play as part of a Penal Legion,
Imperial Guard, Adepta Sororitas, Adepta Astartes, Ratings, Slaves, and the Corpse Emperor himself. Fuckin' genius m8.
(This is sarcasm but my point stands)
Hold the fucking phone. Incoming Platinum Games Weaboo Sisters of Battle 40k sales pitch?
Wow, just wow. You've gotta fill me in on how this would all work. I'm really intrigued that you're so dedicated to bringing it up everywhere 40k related.
You must have the whole scenario figured out by now combined with a bunch of juicy gameplay ideas.
Let's see how deep the well goes. :ohno:
there would certainly be something juicy and it wouldn't be the gameplay

40k will save SFM! I knew it!

Tyranid dicks and Slannesh hooters.
No Platinum, no buy.
Considering how well Dawn of War 3 went, I don't think there's any sane reason as to why any future 40K game would not suck moving on from DoW3. At this point, we're better off asking for Stormcast Eternals in THWH2 and Vermintide 2 so as to make Warhammer fantasy games the closest thing to a good 40K game.
Lmao why platinum?
If anyone was going to make a 3rd person close combat 40k game, I'd want whoever worked on the souls/borne games to do it.
I could imagine that working, A game where you play as an Eldar striking scorpion exarch, last surviving member of your army- taking on space marines/chaos marines in close combat, relying heavily on out-manoeuvring and whittling down punishing foes who could pound you into paste if you aren't quick enough to avoid their attacks, carefully managing resources as you struggle to survive alone behind enemy lines, on a death world, or even on one of the daemon worlds within the eye of terror.
Sure it's just as unlikely as platinum, but at the very least you can compare Dark Souls tonally to 40k. Most of the Platinum games I can think of are flashy anime character action games with ridiculous fighting and waifus. Even the combat in metal gear rising isn't a good fit.
They could make a melee action game focused on the Sisters of Battle.
Oh my god the last thing the WH40k universe needs is Japanese Sisters of Battle with far too little armor and horribly disproportionate bodies.

Platinum games has never made a game in any way similar to 40k. What a strange idea
I just want another 40k RTS in the same vein as DoW1.
i think a dev with experience making military shooters would make a good 40K game.
The only thing that sorta bothers me is that they're starting with two Imperial factions. I'm surprised it's not Chaos instead of Guard.

A Rainbow 6 style game where you play as Scions would be dope as hell.
