• Star Wars: Battlefront has no squads or classes

I mean, I really liked all the classes in the original Battlefront games, but not having that isn't so bad. But then, having the gear unlocked through exp is just a boring and overdone way of going about it. I really don't want to have to play against others with better gear, just to work towards eventually getting myself a weapon that I actually feel comfortable using. And then, to have that weapon I actually like become useless after a few 'levels'. It's a really tiring and boring system. The way the old Battlefront games were, I would choose my class according to how I wanted to play and what the situation called for. Now I'm going to be limited at all times, and I won't be able to play how I want until I unlock it (and it will probably end up being weak compared to other people with high level gear). Not to mention the fact that this probably means there are fifty different kinds of the same guns and just an unnecessary amount of gear to unlock. In all the Battlefield games I've played I could hardly even tell the difference between all the stupid weapons that I had/could unlock. I didn't WANT to unlock anything, and most of my weapons sucked. Squads, on the other hand, they definitely could've used. The only 2 Battlefield-like things they should've kept, and they excluded both of them :v:. It actually kind of feels like they are just working from Battlefield and stripping it down so it doesn't seem like Battlefield.
i mean, in a star wars context it sort of makes sense for the game to have classes no? you wouldn't see a regular trooper holding a vibroblade or a sith officer holding a rocket launcher would you?

Your infantry, which were the majority of play, were divided up into a small handful of generic class roles, each faction having their own faction-lore style to them. pilot, rocket troop, sniper, generic infantry, pretty standard affairs, now all that's happening is it's now "you're infantry and can pick what you want to bring to the table", while still having the 'hero' class be a separate tier above stuff and not counted as 'another class' in the same context

Should probably point out that this buddy system was in MoH:Warfighter and it was kinda (very) frustrating if you were playing alone and got paired up with some idiot
They did in KOTOR.
Not that there'd be a sith officer in Battlefront... It only covers galactic civil war.
They should add a zombie survival mode. One team of heavily armed rebels and another team of storm trooper zombies in rusty, corrupted armor with AI storm troopers as back up.
