Deadly Premonition is the silliest thing I have ever played and I love it.
The sequel to this game is what I'm looking forward to most over the next few years. And it hasn't even been announced yet. Brilliant game, and also this:
The music was amazing, and I hope we see more from Poets of the Fall (the group behind Old Gods of Asgard) in the next game.

I should finish Alan Wake. I got pretty close to the end (I think, anyways), and then uni started up and I kinda lost any time to play games for a long while. Recently gotten some of that time back, but never got back into Alan Wake. I think it's partially because it's the first and last game that I've really played with my dad in a long time. Well, "played" in the sense that he'd watch me play and kind of back-seat drive (in a good way), and we'd enjoy the scenery and the story together. My dad really enjoyed it, because where the game takes place is incredibly similar to, and posibly influenced by, the national park around the Sol Duck river, which is only like 30 or 40 minutes away from where my hometown is. We'd spend more time just looking at all the scenery and drawing parallels between particular spots and their look-alikes at Sol Duc. The fact that the story has really strong Stephen King vibes really struck him, too, because he loves Stephen King books. It's been a long time since I've been able to do that with my dad, what with how busy our lives are these days. Didn't get to do it often, but it was awesome. I almost feel like it'd be some sort of betrayal, if I were to finish the game without him watching. And the worst part is, depending on how my dad's job situation goes, they may end up moving out of state without me even getting to see them again. I may never be able to finish playing Alan Wake with my dad... Feels bad, man.
it's so bad. so, so bad.
Deadly Premonition was the best game of 2010. If you disagree, you are everything that is wrong with gaming.
Great game, but the face animations were hilarious :v:
Glad I'm not the only one who thought those were odd
Glad I'm not the only one who thought those were odd
Everyone thought they were awful, and it often dragged me out of my immersion. But at the same time, the writing was so good, and the characters so believable that I could overlook it.
