Or just go into downtown Los Santos riding a horse in the busy street flipping everyone off :v:
Or better yet, a police chase with you riding a horse while cops chase you with cars :v:.
Hmm mechanic skill, maybe car tuning will be back?
Of course this isn't coming for wii u or PC (at least not for a while) which are the two consoles I own
Meh
Max Payne is best on PC, whyyyyy are you not making a port
Fuck yes my PS3 is ready. Although, I'd rather my PC was ready
Max Payne is best on PC, whyyyyy are you not making a port
Why are people so insistent on thinking that they aren't going to make a PC version?
I know people didn't really like the RPG elements in San Andreas, but I personally digged 'em, and I'm happy they're back (kind of, anyway). Also slow-mo fuck yeah, maybe we'll get to double-wield as well? That'd be boss as hell.
I think the San Andreas RPG elements were just annoying because of how you had to maintain some of them. getting "hungry" or losing muscle mass because I'm swimming (???) isn't fun and doesn't add interesting depth to a game about being a murderous sociopath, it's just annoying.
If I don't need to maintain my stats levels in this, I am absolutely fine with having stat progression.

They've treated the PC port like this for literally every major GTA release since III. Hell, the only R* release (besides handheld games) that hasn't made it to PC in recent years is RDR, and that's because it was made by a smaller studio and the code had to be held together with twigs. Not releasing this on PC at some point would be completely stupid, especially since the PC editions of GTA IV/EFLC sold quite well too.
Powers? Like lasers and stuff?
Yes of course
This will have a PC release, don't you worry. Rockstar's smarter than that.

Since getting a PS3 in the past few weeks, been able to experience RDR. The amount of modding would be awesome.
So a chaos junkie, a gangster and a redneck walk into a bar..
Also when will they add a woman character?
Women have played an integral part in the series. As a matter of fact, the entire plot of GTA 3 basically centered around Catalina. However, there is no reason for them to force a female main character into the game just for "gender equality", it would likely end up badly for the story. Crime just doesn't tend to be a setting for women for the most part.
Now, they could certainly add more female characters into the story that are similar to Catalina or Elizabeta since there haven't been nearly enough.

It is also worth mentioning that this isn't some guy going "Oh they'll release it, trust me, you'll see, yeah definitely you'll see, YOU'LL ALL SEE!"
This isn't that, it is statistically abnormal for Rockstar to not release the game on PC. It is their biggest franchise. This is also continuing Rockstar's trend of releasing PC versions of their games months after they hit consoles.
GTA 3 came out Oct 2001 for PS2, and May 2002 for Windows.
GTA VC came out Oct 2002 for PS2, and May 2003 for Windows.
GTA SA came out Oct 2004 for PS2, and June 2005 for Windows.
GTA IV came out April 2008 for PS3/360, and December 2008 for Windows.
Hell, even some of Rockstar's non-GTA franchises.
Manhunt came out November 2003 for PS2, and April 2004 for Windows.
Manhunt 2 came out October 2007 for PS2, and October 2009 for Windows.
Bully came out October 2006 for PS2, and October 2008 for Windows.
LA Noire came out May 2011 for PS3/360 and November 2011 for Windows.
Max Payne 3 came out May 2012 for PS3/360, and June 2012 for Windows.
Think Red Dead Redemption was a bad sign of no PC ports in the future? Red Dead Redemption didn't get a PC port because of the porting issues like MoarToast mentioned, as well as the game's predecessor (Red Dead Revolver) also being a console exclusive. Notice anything else about that list? Rockstar is working on their promise, on average, to make the release time-frame between console and PC releases of their games smaller.
I just don't understand why people think like this. The evidence is right there in front of you, so you must be completely idiotic if you think they're not making a port just because they haven't announced it yet. You people did the exact same thing with GTA IV was coming out. They didn't announce it initially at first, but then it came out for PC. I can't speak for how GTA V is going to run on PC, but considering GTA IV was Rockstar's first time with the engine on an open world game and also their first time using Euphoria, they had a tough time with it. Rockstar Toronto also did the PC port for GTA IV. Guess what? Rockstar Vancouver merged with them, and are no longer doing any PC ports of Rockstar titles by themselves. Like Max Payne 3, GTA V is being developed by every single Rockstar branch. This is partially why Max Payne 3 is so damn polished. To be fair, it's also a smaller and linear game compared to GTA, but I will be damned if anybody says Max Payne 3 isn't optimized. Getting back to RAGE, their game engine, they've also had many years to experiment and practice with optimizing and making games with it. The past 6 years since GTA IV came out, infact.
Think with your noggin once and awhile, sheeple.
Am I the only one that doesn't like these "powers"? :/ Maybe I'll get used to it...

I read somewhere that they probably do this as an effort to combat piracy and make more money? Makes sense. I don't mind waiting.
They usually add extra shit to the PC versions, too. GTA IV got a movie maker, Vice City had the skins. Did San Andreas have anything?

San Andreas had a custom radio station.

I wonder where you heard that because that sounds like bullshit.

I don't remember, it might have been a comment somewhere. I don't think it was an article or anything. Why wouldnt it make sense? I mean sure, extra time for development and polish, but wouldn't a secondary benefit be combating piracy since it's more difficult to pirate games on console than PCs?
However, it's not as "obnoxious" as in that game, IGN says. "Each character is judged based on a series of nine statistics--Stamina, Shooting, Strength, Stealth, Flying, Driving, Mechanic, Lung Capacity, and Special--and each statistic is built-up specifically by doing the action given. Drive around a lot, and you'll become a better driver. Swim the depths of the bodies of water around you, and you'll become a more adept swimmer."
uhhhh that soudns exactly like san andreas
Really hope so. The third person mechanics were the best in any game yet in my opinion.
Max Payne 3's shooting controls were so tight. Loved it. I really hope GTAV feels the same.

No?
Because releasing it on PC would completely negate the reason of "preventing piracy"?
No?

More like 'losing a fuckload of potential customers' if they don't release it on PC.

You're not understanding. Delaying the pc version means (in theory) people will spend money on the console versions rather than pirate the PC version, because...well, there isn't a pc version yet.
More like 'losing a fuckload of potential customers' if they don't release it on PC.
Well obviously that too.

Uh, no, i completely understand.
Except:
A. The people who'd pirate the game would probably wait and pirate it anyway.
B. You can pirate games on console.
San Andreas had a custom radio station.
the original xbox version had this as well.

Its harder to pirate console games. Most people don't bother with the hassle. I certainly dont. There are people who wait for the PC version to come out and pirate it, and then there are people who dont care to wait, and will probably buy the console version, and then maybe the PC version. I'd probably end up buying the console version rather than wait.
so sick

i dont like the idea of some characters being able to drive better than others. I believe that should be up to the player and the quality of the car how well they drive. it makes it sound like they are going back to arcady car handling. that'd be a huge let down.

Yet the ability to do so for consoles completely ruins the whole argument because if someone seriously wanted to they'd just do it anyway, and people who'll buy it will buy it.
In theory it might work but in reality i dont think it really makes much of a difference at all.

You know they said that the others can be upgraded by just driving or shooting or whatever, right?
We all know that the PC version is delayed in order to boost the console sales.
Whether or not this is to combat PC related piracy, they still delay PC releases to boost console sales.
Okay?
That was completely unrelated to the topic at hand but okay.

We're talking about pc release and whether or not delaying it has to do with combating piracy. How is my last post unrelated?
