wow are you guys high how can you enjoy this piece of shit?

fact: all games are far better when inebriated
for this one it'd have to be some good shit
wow are you guys high how can you enjoy this piece of shit?
"If I force myself to like this game then everything will be okay!" People will lower their standards for a game they want to enjoy. It's not because it's Duke, it's because they wanted to get their money's worth and if they can't do that having high standards than they'll just lower them so they can. It becomes a problem when when they apply this mentality to criticism instead of in-game experience, which is something gamers, especially PC gamers from what I've seen, often do.
I didn't get the game until long after I heard it was terrible though so I went in expecting shit, but was pleasantly surprised.
"Too many went too far with their reviews...we r reviewing who gets games next time and who doesn't based on today's venom," he tweeted.
"bawww they didnt like the game they cant review the next ones" Glad 2K got rid of those idiots.
I didn't thin DNF was THAT bad. I still had fun with it
On a scale from 5 to 10, what do you think it is?
Sorry, but the reviewers were right on this one. DNF has less class than a common street hooker.
To call DNF fantastic or even good is either an outright lie or a very desperate denial. It is flawed every step of the way from poorly written [and I do not mean cheesy, which Duke is all about] dialogue, terrible character animation, shit textures, under-powered weapons, all the way to the massively disappointing ending. The environment and art direction is reminiscent of fan-made source engine maps, and that takes a special lack of care to achieve. Any of the effort that could have made this game palatable was not made, and despite the nostalgia and charm of it all, it is unarguably deserving of nothing higher than a 4/10 [an F to us Yanks]. The fact that you swallowed your pride and played a shit game and enjoyed the better parts does not make it a good game. The jokes were so dated I was using youtube to refresh my memory on what the hell he was referencing. Did you ACTUALLY enjoy spending your time in a strip club searching high and low for mundane objects? Was it ACTUALLY satisfying when the horribly animated women went topless and gyrated a little? If you say yes to either of those - you are either far too young or immature to know what good is, or you are far too delusional to help. While it did have some fun scenes, it seems that all of that was sewn together with large amounts of filler to buff it out into a full game. They were either infuriating, boring, or just ruined by poor gameplay, shit AI, and all-around bad execution. There were shooting sequences I enjoyed, but they were so far apart that I often forgot I was playing a new run and gun shooter and not a platformer from the late 90's or the early 00's. I honestly expected 2K to do a lot more with it, and was sorely disappointed at what I saw. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] Should I go on to the level design or have I made my point? My point is that unlike the originals that spawned the character that we all share that kind of love/hate relationship with, NOBODY making the game cared about Duke Nukem Forever enough to notice it's glaring flaws, and no amount of denial will change that. They bought it and patched it up and shoved it out the door knowing that people like you would grovel to lick his oddly metallic prosthetic testicles, ignoring the disease and general funkiness he has acquired over the years.
1UP review was was the most awful review i have ever read. The reviewer must be shot on sight
This game was pretty fun, had some nice jokes, parodies like Master Chiefs armor and Dylan being a Marcus Fenix parody. Especially the phone messages you hear around the maps. I honestly liked the combat. 1 man army Duke Nukem, killing pigcops and aliens using bare fists, weaponry, and anything throw-able. tbh this game doesn't deserve all these low reviews. i actually liked the game, and the customizable house feature.
:what:

The character animation, at least for duke, resembled the character animation from dn3d, and was acceptable for all other characters. I will admit though I didn't like the art direction they took with some of the enemies, especially the pigcops
I don't know what everyone is crying about, this is a pretty good game.
Yeah I'm really enjoying DNF.
Ther are WAY worse games then this that probably got got a higher review score.
It's still funny how people don't know the meaning of opinions. As always, everyone will have a different view on everything they witness. If I were to chose a graph to show the amount of love and hate for this game, or any game, I would go with a scatter plot since every single fucking game will have some amount of people hating it, and another group that loves it with groups of people scattered in between. I'm sure some people out there will hate Skyrim, Call of Duty MW3, Duke3D, Halo, Final Fantasy and even Battlefield 3 with any reason they can, valid or not. Some will bitch about graphics, some about gameplay, some about the game's engine, or even stupid shit like the cross-hair for a certain gun.

Mainstream reviewers say it's terrible for their own reason, maybe its in the form of money?
Duke Nukem Forever is a flop. It does deserve scores like 3/10 or 4/10. It completely missed the essence of Duke Nukem 3D's gameplay.
Who even said it was meant to be like Duke 3D?
Except for this game so many mainstream reviewers have completely shat on it, without truly justifying their incredibly low scores.
Oh the 2-3 page reviews on the game wasn't enough justification? Huh. A lot of reviews gave it a middle of the road rating and that seems about right. Its metascore of 50 (for xbox) is about right, in fact the user reviews were actually worse than the professional reviews giving it a 3.9 on xbox. Though it got a 6.1 user rating on PC.
DNF, Brink, Alice and a ton of other games lately have been good to the people that play them but are getting bad reviews from major critics even though I guarantee the next CoD will probably average in high 80s or 90s. Before long game critics are goings to be 100% completely useless if they keep up the crap.
Who gives a fuck what critics think?
Who gives a fuck what critics think?
The majority of gamers? A large percentage at least.
The majority of gamers? A large percentage at least.
Why? Critics aren't always correct and shouldn't be relied on.
You know what every single person needs to stop doing when making reviews? 1. Hype. Hype. Hype. Hype. Hype can either make the game average or kill the game. See: Spore. Hype, honestly, makes the game worse. And reviews seem to go on hype which is just horrible. 2. Judging the game based on time. 1 Year? Rushed game. 6+ years? Not worth it at all. 3. Comparing it to other games. DNF isn't D3D by a long shot. Section 8 isn't Halo. Pokemon X isn't Pokemon Y. ect.
LOOK AT THE GAME ITS SELF, NOTHING ELSE.
Duke Nukem 3D was pretty much my childhood, I played the side scrollers and loved them. But, personally, DNF ruined it. I know this probably nostalgia talking, but I seriously could not enjoy DNF.
I Don't care that the Game is shit, I'm just happy its finally Here and we can stop this nonsense
Modern day idiots would say this - which these critics probably are.
