Raven is credited as "UI and DLC", whatever that means.
Means they make the DLC and the Interface for the game. It's not entirely uncommon that a different company handles the support after release.
I really liked Prototype 1, I wanted to wait for P2 until it gets cheaper.
I think Activision acted really radical on this situation.
Oh yes, I saw this in the Rock Paper Shotgun article on the same subject;
This is the reason why i am swiftly losing faith in games designed by larger companies. I'm not saying call of duty is a bad game by any means but innovation is hardly its strong point. The sad truth is that Games companies need to make money and investing in something new just isn't going to net them the profit they need. I've tended to gravitate more towards indie games of late but quite frankly Arty2DPlatformer12 isn't exactly innovative.
I read over at RPS tho that Prototype 2 for PC is still going to ship as planned, and that the devs will still support it post-release with patches. However, they won't be making new games as a combined studio anymore, they're fired or absorbed into the other ones.

Incredible. That's exactly what this news article is saying as well.
I like how they didn't even give the PC version of Prototype 2 a chance to launch and see how those sales went before they went full retard on Radical.

The console market generally sells better than the PC market.
And they already have the statistics for how the first one went, so they probably took that into consideration as well.
Simpsons Hit and Run was one of the best PS2 games ever made, come on.
Everybody and their mum had that game, childhood in a nutshell.
It's not "one game". Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer worked on MW3 (Sledgehammer's first release), Treyarch works on Black Ops. Neversoft handles the motion capturing, Beachhead handles Elite, and Raven is credited as "UI and DLC", whatever that means.
Again, it's the same collaborative process EA uses by labeling every studio as a Bioware subsidiary.
There's nothing collaborative about it.
That leaves only 12 Studios:
Demonware: General Netcode
Vicarious Visions/Toys For Bob: Kids Games/Ports
High Moon Studios: Transformers Games
FreeStyleGames: Music Games
Beenox: Spider-Man/Ports
Beachhead Studios/Treyarch/Sledgehammer Games/Raven Software/Neversoft/Infinity Ward: Call of Duty Games
I wonder where all the resources/money is going :v:
If this is for Activision owned, would Bungie be on the list or is it different because they are on a 12 year contract?

Poor Raven Software. Activision fucked them over on Singularity so now they're stuck doing shit for COD.
Activision/Cod is ruining just about everything.
If Cod never existed, today fps gaming would definitely be better, since everything try to be cod.
Though i think the first MW bringed new fresh air, but now its overused.

If call of duty didn't exist everything would be trying to be whatever the most popular game is.

Yeah lol people said the same shit about Halo.

And Unreal Tournament, and Quake, and DOOM. It's happened with every single generation of games. This generation just seems to have dragged on a bit in terms of which game has the limelight.

This, Activision has the money and power, causing more shit over and over, Bf3 is an exemple of a letdown.

It's still a pretty good game, not exactly what people were expecting, and not what the EA promotional department wanted us to see it as, but it is still pretty damn good to play.
Activision do have a awful lot of money right now though, so their advertising train is unstoppable once they start it. I've actually started to despise the months leading up to CoD launches because of the advertising bombardment.

"Alex Mercer is dead. He's gone! But he's right there on my back, and here in my heart! He lives on as a part of me!"
Well now I feel bad for never having a legit copy of Prototype 1.

If CoD never existed we would never have had CoD, Cod: United Offensive ,and CoD 2.
Those were some of the best fps ive ever played, back when it was "Never fight alone" was the thing and not "HOLY SHIT SPEC OPS KEEL ALL DE BAD RUSHAN MEEDL EST TERR0RISTS!"
Poor Raven Software. Activision fucked them over on Singularity so now they're stuck doing shit for COD.
Raven doesn't exist anymore. All the people that mattered left a LOOOOOOOONg time ago.
It's a damn shame. Prototype 2 was such an improvement on the first game. I really liked it.

I had it on Gamecube. I remember one time, I was on the last mission and my older brother was jealous so he deleted my game. I never did beat it.
Another good game from Radical Entertainment besides The Simpsons Hit & Run would be The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

If you don't own this game yet, I strongly recommend you search for this game if you are into sandbox destruction games.
