Shanghai Noire? I wonder if they'll still use that facial capture system.
okay i cant be the only one stunned about the title
i mean wtf??
Please, PLEASE let them use MotionScan again!
this will sure make those feminists happy
seems like an amazing game
I love the title though, fits right in with similar Chinese tragedies, like "rape of nanking"
I'm waiting to see how McNamara fucks things up again.
I enjoyed LA Noire, but how that guy treated his team is despicable.
Shall henceforth be referred to only as "whorient"

I know.
Why don't they just call it The Whorient?

You son of a bitch.
Beat me to it.
They should get Chow Yun Fat to be the main character.

Also, didn't they fire McNamara because of that?
Also, didn't they fire McNamara because of that?
No. He stayed on till the end as lead writer/designer.
Looks cool
This looks really interesting.
Sounds pretty cool, even though I was expecting something else from the title.
I hope they don't succumb to any pressure and change the title.

Considering its title, imagine all of the o-faces.
I hope this time things will work out better for the employees during the development.
No. He stayed on till the end as lead writer/designer.
I meant, didn't they fire him after L.A. Noire was officially done?
I'd love it if they used that face-capture thing again, but god, please record everything in 60 fps so we aren't locked to 30 like in L.A. Noire.
from the title, I thought it would be a Sleeping Dogs DLC or something, but aq new L.A Noire? Oh yeaaahh
Also, a lot of games are now on Shanghai, but i like the direction

I think it refers to the fact that, as long as you paid the right price, you could buy anyone or anything in that city. I'm not going to lie, its a pretty eye catching title.
I'm interested in how they'll approach tensions with Japan and the approaching invasion.
The game definitely sounds interesting, I'll be looking out for it.
Pretty sure in an interview with McNamara he said the MotionScan would be coming back. He's a crime/thriller/detective freak, and he still holds on to the MotionScan patents. I think it's coming back. No source, so you can beat me to death.
Also, I'm just waiting for an OTT parent to ban the game from the title. It's pretty predictable.

I actually really like the title. While it draws the eye and makes people curious, it's not just named that to be catchy. It also evokes the ideas of colonialism, imperialism, and corruption by Western and other Eastern powers in Asia during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
for all we know it could be a manwhore
stop assuming things you pigs!

Nope. He was never fired because Bondi was already going under.
The remnants of the team are now owned by KMM and still being lead by McNamara.
