Rise of Nations spotted in Steam database, could a re-release of the RTS classic be coming soon?

Multiplayer matches with friends were so funny. First person to get nukes would threaten nuclear attacks on anyone else who started researching them.
YES
I've been meaning to look into this for a long time. Could it be that this is being HD'ed like Age of Empires 2?
I'm not complaining.
Rise of Nations and Thrones and Patriots HD?
OH FUCK YES
How does it compare to Cossacks? Never got around playing it.
Impossible Creatures please!
"Cheat nuke Cheat nuke Cheat nuke ARMAGEDDON YOU LOSE" Many years of fun were had with that game. I loved that game's cheats. Now all we need is an Empire Earth HD remake.
Yeah a HD remake of the first one would be amazing, doubt it'll ever happen though. Didn't like the second EE game and as for the 3rd one..
Such a shame we don't get any decent RTS games anymore.
I hope this is true. I haven't played it in a long time, but it is a great game and if people started playing it again i might buy it, even though i have the discs.
i always prefered this over ages of empires (they are compared quite a lot) because in RoN there's hardly any turtling. battles are fun and when you lose cities you don't rage quit, it just gets more exciting. The border system is also very interesting, especially when there are border wars. no walls = good, i hate that shit. Upgrades that allow units to travel over the sea without using transport ships? fucking awesome.
basically i like this game a lot more than age of empires

What's with all this hate for Rise of Legends
Rise of Nations was the first game I got when my parents finally bought a proper pc. I waited until 1am for my uncle to finish installing windows and stuff and then finally. I installed it and was awed by the cinematic and the game itself. Good times.

Nothing alike.

The way resources are gathered is quite similiar. But most to everything else is very different.
