I'm glad. FC3 shows how fixing a series can be such a great thing.
I feel kinda bad for not being able to get into FC3. The jungle just feels so lifeless and static and the weapons are not really fun at all. Of course, I didn't play very far but I just wish I could get the kind of enjoyment out of it as other people do.

I think it's a perspective shift. FC2 had so many promises with this jungle/forest that was full of wilderness and enemies and dynamic environments, and due to it being very much not that, FC3 ended up being framed better,

In FC3, they felt awful and uninteresting. It really took my joy out of playing. Everything else (other than the abysmal characters...) was better than in FC2. If only I could have the weapon handling from 2 into 3, I'd die a happy man.
I think the only thing I didn't like about the weapons in Far Cry 2 was the sound effects, they sounded so tinny, like toy guns.
Uninteresting? Fuck media tags
The only things that I found bad in Far Cry 3 were the low detail draw distance (and the forced blur that appeared on longer distances), and the fact that shots magically disappeared past 175m(or was it 160m). I actually tried this out with the Zastava M93, with the help of a waypoint. Makes it impossible to actually snipe anything.

The african setting felt so fresh and amazing compared to the relatively dull and already seen tropical setting.
The only downside to Africa is that they actually captured the feel of Africa: brown and tan, sandy environments. Apart from the rainforest.
unless they make the african setting less brown and sand i'd stick with the tropical one
the color brown is not found in nature, video games were the first to create it
the color brown is not found in nature, video games were the first to create it
Cause tree bark is pink.

No I liked it too.
Yeah, it fit the setting.
Cause tree bark is pink.
what? I'm defending the use of brown, what are you doing
what? I'm defending the use of brown, what are you doing
you literally said the colour brown does not exist in nature, what are you doing.

The first half of Far cry 2 is absolutely horrible.
you literally said the colour brown does not exist in nature, what are you doing.
Sarcasm, can you even
I remember a long while back before development for far cry 3 even began, some senior at ubisoft said that an antarctic setting in a far cry game was being looked into, I wonder why they never pursued that more?
I'm glad AC3 did well. The revolutionary war setting blew me away. I loved the synchronization points.
I really need to get around to beating FC3, something just kept making me not want to play the campaign for some reason. Which is weird since I like it.
The game elements got stale for me. It wasn't in depth enough. The guns were too easy to unlock too. Sad because I really wanted to beat it.
