The one good thing about a monthly subscription is you don't have to pay much for expansion packs Except in WoW's case.
There's really no challenge in WoW anymore. I remember feeling awesome when I would take down an elite boss for lots of quest experience. Raids were amazing too, and so was the gear.
Oh, eh they made Challenge Dungeons with actually REALLY good looking gear rewards. It's a timed and harder versions of heroic dungeons.
yes really unique, until you look at every other class with a raid buff and realize they were the exact same thing and paladin was the only class punished to use them
Ya, you were SO punished to use a buff. This one time I switched from ret aura to devotion and man, I was punished so hard. 15 minutes in the corner.
Need to wait till tomorrow to pick my CE edition up

Especially for protection and holy paladins - if your group comp wasn't right and you had to use a different aura than devotion or resistance you essentially were either boned out of some passive mitigation that your tanking was balanced around or a raid cooldown as holy. Sure paladins lost a little bit of choice but as a heavily cooldown centric class I doubt you'd be reaching for resistance aura to resist that cast a little extra when you can now get a flat 40% magic damage reduction for divine protection. Nor would you be reaching for ret aura when you needed more damage over avenging wrath, guardian or a talent. Fact is they're a relic of the old paladin class and they'd turned into nothing more than a click and forget buff in most cases and in the worst of cases they severely limited the class in terms of damage mitigation and raid utility. Again all stuff that's at a higher tier of play than you ever have or will play in the game but that's what it's balanced around :)

Same goes for earlier TBC. So nice try being elitist, you are the shittiest type of WoW player.

no point to derail this thread, also I think WoW would be fine for about a year til now. mainly because of the loss of there subs from last year (or was it this year).
Were* you are obviously now terrible
Probably, I stopped playing at cataclsym. You are the worst type of WoW player who probably does LFR or have done some herioc raids the past few months, you know, the few months at the end of cata and start of MoP, and you think you are the shit. If you ever did any of the lights in darkness for 25 man yogg, or all Ulduar hardmodes 25 pre whatever that shitty arena raid was, or any TBC 25 mans before Sunwell, and even then doing Sunwell. Even then, you shouldnt be talking shit, its WoW PvE, most of it isnt hard, and its fucking WoW. You seem really insecure about your incredible WoW skills if you shit talk so much about it.
£30 every 2-3 years isn't that bad in my opinion
Except 3 years is $550 already [editline]24th September 2012[/editline] Which is fine if that's your ONLY source of entertainment, I suppose. But that would be a life I'm glad I'm not a part of
There's really no challenge in WoW anymore. I remember feeling awesome when I would take down an elite boss for lots of quest experience. Raids were amazing too, and so was the gear.
Except heroic raids are still challenging and MoP is bringing challenge dungeons where your gear is set so you can't out gear the dungeon and it's timed with leaderboards for the fastest players, so it's based entirely on skill and not gear. [editline]24th September 2012[/editline] Oh and let's not forget pvp, still challenging...
There's really no challenge in WoW anymore. I remember feeling awesome when I would take down an elite boss for lots of quest experience. Raids were amazing too, and so was the gear.
No challenge? Heroic Ragnaros and Heroic Spine were easy? Shit.
runescape used to be the best, but it really declined over the last 5 years
One big problem I had was how much they loved to completely turn classes and skills 180 degrees around. You'd get used to a talent system and specialization for a month or two and then suddenly the patch changes the way all classes are played (most of the time for the worst) [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] WoW PvP is fun, and the in-game communities are cool too but when it comes down to it I can't justify paying that much for a single game.
I'm still waiting for Warcraft 4
