Jailbreak/flashing scene only makes handheld devices sell faster
I hope one day we actually get to have a handheld that supports indie/homebrew games from the beginning..
When first psp hacking went big, Sony broke sale records with it.
Why can't I ever hear of these exploits in time...
I might actually get one, provided they don't combat it. I can't see much of a point in buying a device I can't make my own through homebrew/modification.
now im really tempted to get a vita

i got one of the good old fat psp's as soon as i heard about the first exploits

Already own one
Some big name manufacturer should just make a console with specs similar to high-end models etc but give it native homebrew compatibility, with a full SDK, etc. And of course make it incompatible with games for the other handhelds (with hardware differences, I guess?) so there isn't bland piracy.

I have a GP2X Wiz. While a lot of things still aren't perfect, sadly, and it doesn't seem to quite get the recognition of the PSP, DS, etc..It's nice to play with. I wish there were more/better games for it that weren't emulators.
Time for Sony to overreact as usual and completely miss a marketing opportunity

Stuff like that just doesn't make good profit in today's Angry Birds era.
hey sony
why dont you just leave the gaming market.
yes it increases the handheld sales, but game developers go bankrupt because everyone just pirates their games.

That and also everyone else sues you out of existance for allowing the development of applications that allow ripped games to work.
i dont even fucking play my psp games, i pretty much play emulators on my 2000 now.
homebrew is fucking great, dont fucking patch homebrew ability all the time.
This is as old as hell, and it's only the PSP emulator not the actuall PS Vita I believe.

The devices themselves may sell more, but games most likely will not. This is exactly why PSP game development died, almost everyone pirated the games instead of buying them.
suddenly hot shots golf is the best selling psp game of all time

Well no wonder, probably shitty games at exorbitant prices...

Back when I got a psp(I think it was when they first came out) I loved that game.

The lighting in lamecraft is so bad.
Why don't they just accept the fact that some people are hardcore and will always manage to get homebrew working on your system (why not support it?)
