What's the difference between pansexual and bisexual?
Trans* inclusive
the fact that people care so much in either direction is mindblowingly pathetic to me that is, regardless whether or not it's endless gay hate or social-justice tier shit i read the comic. it was sweet. by no means was the big takeaway from it "OMG GAYS". how is that of all things what people manage to get out of a comic like that?
Look at all these people on twitter saying overwatch is the best game ever, when they've never played it. Tracer could fuck robots for all I care, it has no imapct on the gameplay.
man it's like ellen page cockblock all over again
Some people do care about lore though so
Tracer fucks chicks. Thats some deep lore.
i kinda don't like it just because it panders so hard to the rule34 fanclub
No one is allowed to make gay characters because it panders to some imaginary club because some people upload porn on a sight [editline]21st December 2016[/editline] site* good to see editing is gone :v:
Anytime any character is revealed as gay/bi, everyone has to make it perfectly clear they don't care :v: it's like a contest to show just how little you care and everyone's gotta get in on it. god forbid you're mistaken for one of those filthy ess jay doubleues

The comic itself was pretty by the numbers and dull, and just because it showed gay people its been the talk of the internet for a whole day.
God forbid people are excited about positive representation :disgust:
This is positive representation? You are easily impressed. Remove the gay reveal from this comic and its boring. I don't think having gay people in it should be an instant 10/10 best company ever move. basically, where you see positive representation, I see a cheap and easy PR stunt.

It's a great step up that now characters like Tracer, who is pretty much a mascot for Overwatch, can be gay without fuss. Calling moves like this "cheap" and a "pr stunt" just drag LGBT representation back into the mud, because you're suggesting that anytime a character turns out to be LGBT, its only for some "stunt". LGBT people have the right to be excited that these characters can thrive and exist without backlash as we move forward, and that they can have characters they can relate to in this way. But if anytime a character is revealed as gay you're going to label it a "pr stunt", all you're doing is suggesting these people cant exist without being a token, and thus, that they shouldn't be LGBT in the first place.
basically, where you see positive representation, I see a cheap and easy PR stunt.
and this is why people are scared to do anything liberal, progressive, or socially helpful in the entertainment or marketing industries
Look at all these people on twitter saying overwatch is the best game ever, when they've never played it. Tracer could fuck robots for all I care, it has no imapct on the gameplay.
Who cares if they've played the game? You dont have to have played it to get enjoyment from its media and related content. It's pretty easy to understand why people who don't play it/games in general either could like it from the outside. It looks like a project by ex-Dreamworks animators with a lot of cool video and comic media. Why do YOU care so much people are calling it the best game ever? Does it really bother you that much? They don't have an impact on the gameplay.
make d.va gay next
make d.va gay next
D.va is already gay for Dew and Robutts.
it shouldn't bother anyone that they made the worst girl gay If it was Mercy or D.va then we'd have a problem :v:
The only problem i have with this is it's going to send the dark "we will attack with if you have any straight ships" corner of the fanbase into an even bigger frenzy. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but i'd like it if 30% of the Overwatch content i see wasn't senseless arguing about it.
The only problem I have with this is I don't like the design of Tracer's girlfriend. She looks like someone's OC who was inserted into Overwatch later to me, not sure why though.
Tracer fucks chicks. Thats some deep lore.
Glad you're reducing the entire story into her sexuality

If she was an actual game character I imagine they'd make her look a bit more visually interesting

If her being gay is part of that, then thats good. Frankly all Im seeing here is, "hey we made this random new character for tracer to be gay with, we're hip and cool right?" I would have rather her been gay with an already established character that she already had some synergy with.
a character's sexuality is a big deal
Unless it is somehow relevant to the story (Overwatch has none, only basic simplistic lore for the game world as a whole), thinking it really is a big deal is outright moronic. Not addressing it at you, just general comment. [editline]21st December 2016[/editline]
As someone who is bi, I forget we exist because no one thinks it's a real thing.
bi-s actually call themselves bi because they just want attention from other gender as well, everybody knows that so you're poser [sp] /s[/sp]

Doing in game would be forced in almost any situation I can think of. Why does it need to be someone "established", assuming you mean an in game character. There's no reason she can't just have a girlfriend outside of her job as a hero. I don't see why this is unbelievable [editline]21st December 2016[/editline] Would this be better since it affects gameplay

I think it's neat how they did this and didn't really draw that much attention to it. I think it's really bad how people are making a big deal out of it when it clearly was not the focus of the comic, rather just a thing to give some depth to her character. If you call attention to stuff like this, it doesn't really help in making it the norm. Though more positive representation is great.
All things considered, they did go about the right way of doing it. Instead of making a fuss about it and going "LOOK AT THIS GUYS, WE RELEASED A COMIC WHERE WE REVEAL TRACER IS GAY!!!" it was just "Yo, we released a Christmas comic starring Tracer, check it out." They treat it like it's not a big deal, which I like.
Please make every character in the cast LGBT just for shits including Bastion
