• EA games on Wii U to require Origin
I think forcing an account on console games individually is a stupid idea. I never had fun having to retype my username/password multiple times to find that a keyboard on a dpad isn't fun.
Once you log in to one EA game on your Xbox, it automatically signs you in to all other EA games. I don't know if it's the same on the PS3, or how it will function on the Wii U.
Solution: Don't buy EA games and they'll stop screwing you over
So I bought Bad Company 2 for the Xbox 360 and it had this shit in it. I had an old account I used for other things so I spent an hour trying to find that account. After registering my account, I started playing the game. It wasn't worth it. I bought an console because I want an affordable game system with no hassle. It failed on both of those fronts.
uh this has been on the Xbox 360 and PS3 for awhile why is everyone mad
Because EA/Origin. And it's pretty dumb for Nintendo to not do this themselves and instead rely on a service most people are uncomfortable with.
I haven't bought one EA game this whole gen and it looks like I wont buy one next gen either.
Valve will probably put steam on there then :P

I guess they're anticipating a lot of piracy then.
Anyone remember the days where you just put the disk/cartridge in the console, turned it on and then played?
