i might actually get this looks pretty good plus trains are awesome
Say what you want about the DLC, but the base game is actually pretty good. Running a steam train is pretty fucking hard.
Can't wait for the SkyTrain Expansion.
we get it mips
you got a fetish with the vancouver skytrain
you can stop telling us now
I'm not going to lie, I haven't even bothered to try any simulators. The idea of them just puts me off completely.. I mean, what could be so entertaining about trains? Or planes? Much to my sometimes shamefully ignorant mind, I have always thought these games only appeal to trainspotters, people that generally have less exciting lives.. Yet these Simulators are made every year. People keep buying them..
What am I missing?? Should I actually try this out? I don't exactly want to dish out £20 just like that though..
Simulators are oddly soothing. X-Plane being the best example. You may think trying to figure out all of the auto-pilot trajectories and such then just sitting back and watching would be boring, but it's actually fun and kind of relaxing, plus the realism of a simulator makes it better. For example you can pretty much mash all the buttons in the cockpit in the game like you could in real life.
Also you can be a fighter jet and crash into buildings
I personally enjoy TS2012, it certainly passes the time and if you have any remote interest in trains it's nice. I'll possibly be buying TS2013, even though the core 'upgrade' is free to TS2012 - you have to pay if you want the new routes/locos included with 2013. If you don't already own 2 or more of the DLC now included in TS2013 (and want them), then you're still making a good saving.
this comes out on the same day as torchlight 2 and borderlands 2.
this comes out on the same day as torchlight 2 and borderlands 2.
It's such a hard choice when 3 quality games are coming out the same day when you have little money.
fucking finally.
My wallet is empty.
BRB suicide, life isn't worth living without preordering Train Simulator 2013
It's not named Railworks 4 ?
0/10
Now all we need is garbage truck simulator 2013 and farming simulator 2013 and my life is complete.
Farming Simulator 2013's out in October for PC and early 2013 for consoles.
Are you guys serious about how good this game is or is it just a joke? I really can't figure it out.
it is actually a good game.
people do seem to think, "a niche game not targeted at me LOL BETTER PRETEND TO BE EXCITED FOR HUMOR PURPOSES"
I prefer OMSI Bus Simulator but this is pretty decent although I haven't gotten into it much yet. They are giving 2012 users 2013 for free like they did with Railworks to Train Simulator.

They should combine all the simulators and just call it "Economy Simulator 2013" in that italics font. First you got to farm, then you have to drive peeps around, then you have to move freight via truck, then rail, then truck. Then you can knock down some buildings. Oh yeah, street cleaning too.
Hmm, strange, my 2012 version is still TS12. Not sure if updated or I'm just not thinking straight because of how tired I am.
Edit:
Oooh, going to the TS13 store page tells me I own it.
Fair 'nuff.
Also, I like how they add DLC into the base game. That's nice. The Horseshoe Curve is an alright route.

wrong game though
I've been training my whole life to play this game, I've been tracking the steam charts just to make sure it arrives on time.
Nothing is worse then a late train.
It's not a separate game, it's an update to the 2012 version
No, it's separate this time (TS 2012 still exists) as it has completely different content. But you will get an update with the new features for the old version.
holy fuck this has the london to brighton route
i want this game
