Two weapon limit, fewer plasmids/vigors and less enjoyable weapons, the guns didn't feel like they had as much kick to them, less environment wandering, for all the art direction Columbia didn't have quite the amazing feel of Rapture, really the only fun thing about the gameplay was the skylines. A lot of people considered the story to have less substance than the original's.
Okay, that I can understand. The weapon limit was kinda bad, but I didn't notice the vigors and weapons as less enjoyable at all.
Also, less environment wandering? Columbia is way more open than BioShock 1 or 2. The locations are quite huge and you are free to come and go inside many buildings. You know, like the things with the codex? You are practically free to go from one end of a district to the other an take several paths along the way, while the first BioShock was generally more linear.

The enemies were bullet sponges, and the weapons felt uninspired. Several of the vigors are redundant and some weapons are redundants. And no, Columbia isn't more open. Rapture was alive, you could explore everything and you could take your time and come back to places. In Columbia, not only you couldn't backtrack but the world was also much smaller.
I'm so close to the end of BS2 and I want Infinite so badly. Of course, it goes on sale when I have next to no money whatsoever. Guess I'm going to have to wait a while longer.
I don't understand why people think this game is so much "meh". I see many things in this game: a beautiful, colourful and powerful art direction from the beginning to the end, which makes Columbia one of the most intriguing and memorable places in my own gaming experience; I see an imaginative scenario with complex ties, though a bit rough on the edges; I see a thrilling gameplay experience, with fantastically dynamic combats throughout idyllic places accompanied by great music; and I see Elizabeth. Need I say more?
Everyone says BioShock Infinite is shit compared to BioShock (1), but you can't deny that some things seem pretty tame in the latter when compared to the former (or even non-exisiting), like exterior visuals. Also the fact that Elizabeth or a similar character wasn't there, someone to accompany you throughout the game and pretty much be the game itself. Why give so much shit to this game? Did it get superior reviews to what you expected, and you felt the need to belittle it? Someone explain.
Everyone already addressed your other points, but
Also the fact that Elizabeth or a similar character wasn't there, someone to accompany you throughout the game
Atlas, Tennenbaum, Sinclair, [sp]Eleanor[/sp].

It was 75% off months ago, back when they offered shitty TF2 items for buying the full-priced Season Pass.
I'm still wondering why did I bought it in the first place.

Anyway, Bioshock Infinite is definitely worth it for this price. The combat is okay, but the 2 weapon limit makes upgrades a bit pointless. Enemies are bullet-spongy, but that was an issue since the first Bioshock. The story is alright, nothing hard to wrap your head around. My biggest problem with the story is that Comstock is supposed to be the big villain but for me there wasn't enough connection with him to make me care about him. Which did hurt my experience with the plot.

Yeah I kinda felt like it was missing that shock that Bioshock 1 gave at the end when you figure out why what's his face kept saying would you kindly I feel like it was rushed and not very thought out as the first.

I meant, physically accompany you. Eleanor does it to some extend, but not as much.

That picture is obviously biased.
What about this?

You can freely go from one end to the other, and explore many buildings along the way.

Oh, boy, I sure do love playing Complex Map of Game 1 versus Simple Map of Game 2

Seriously, that's one map in the entire game, and it's a picture, not an actual map of the area you play in.
Also I thought the original Bioshock/Bioshock 2/Burial At Sea ep2 had a better idea making your allies accompany you on radio only, that way it actually made sense when all the enemies completely ignore them outside of conversation scenes.
How is the story anything like Looper?
It has time travel so it's the exact same, silly.
the gameplay sucks dick nice story though

One map in the entire game? What about Finkton or Soldier's field then?
[t]http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131001034927/bioshock/images/0/07/Soldiersfield2.jpg[/t]
And it's "not an actual map of the area you play in": I tried to find a good map, but it's all I could find. But every player knows you can go through every street in the district, and visit a lot of buildings, not only all those on the map. Or did you rush through the game so quickly that you didn't notice?

I explored the environment I was in on all three occasions the game allowed me to, I was just pointing out that promotional artwork is not exactly equivalent to an actual diagram of the playing area.
I liked Infinite and the original, but you can't deny that Infinite is a helluva lot more linear (not that linearity is inherently bad).
I never thought I'd say I enjoyed Bioshock 2 more.
Looking back, my playthrough of Infinite had more frustration than the other two games, because for no reason the ability to carry medikits, [del]EVE[/del] Salts, and more than two weapons was gone.
my first playthrough was on 1999, and i didnt have any real problems with combat or bullet sponges, or even feel all that frustrated up until [sp]lady comstock[/sp] :x
i didnt mind 2 weapon limit either, sure it was weird considering the last two games didnt have it, but it did have me think more smartly of what weapon combination would be best to have on hand utilized with my plasmids too

Not bad, but definitely strange and unexpected in this case
For a flying city in the clouds, you wouldn't expect large boardwalks connecting to every new area with few sideroutes or optional areas
You would also think the sky-lines actually moved you to new parts of the level, instead of sending you in circles around a battlefield
