the thing with ME1 is that it had the best ambiance, the environments and all the worlds out there, it truly felt like you were a space explorer

I modded Skyrim off the butt to make the combat tolerable. Not to mention, very similarly to Mass Effect I played the game for the universe and the cool visuals, rather than for the gameplay.
If I could mod the fuck out of Mass Effect to turn its awful combat into something a bit more tolerable, you bet your ass I would.

I just want the same sense of wonder the galaxy gave me in the first mass effect. Reading all the little descriptions of the planets and finding those artifacts is probably the coolest feeling a game has given me. I just wanna be able to explore again
