I'm jealous. What kind is it?
Asus K53TA-BBR6 Admittedly I got mine in a hell of a deal, but they were going for $450 beforehand and that's still pretty good for a gaming laptop. [editline]30th August 2012[/editline]
Point being that gaming has always been a club for the rich.
Yes and no. You don't have to be rich to budget for a gaming PC.
Might hire it on 360 and wait for the GOTY edition on PC. Borderlands and Borderlands GOTY on steam are the exact same price in the Oceania store so I'd expect the same thing to happen with this game.
what are you kids crying about "LOL DLC THIS GAME IS SHIT" they announced borderlands 2 was gold a couple of weeks ago and they're currently working on extra content that they don't have a deadline to make so they can put lots of details into them. like jesus get your dick off the dlc bandwagon.
fuck gearbox for making dlc before finishing the game!!!!!
I really want that Mechromancer though. She has a fucking flying warbot as a helper.
what are you kids crying about "LOL DLC THIS GAME IS SHIT" they announced borderlands 2 was gold a couple of weeks ago and they're currently working on extra content that they don't have a deadline to make so they can put lots of details into them. like jesus get your dick off the dlc bandwagon.
That's why everyone hates it. Games are never just finished and released anymore, they're finished but with enough extra ideas to spend the months after the release to make DLC.
oh god devs can make more content so that when you're done with the game and want more, you can get more!
BLAGRFLAGR WHAT! How dare they make more content for after the game is finished! Those evil manipulative child murdering puppy rapists! Hang them from highest boughs!
I don't get why people are saying "HURR GAMES COST 89 DOLLARS NOW BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DLC TO GET ALL OF THE GAME!!!" No they don't, and no you don't. DLC is extra content that you don't have to pay for, and in return you don't get to play. DLC is not a direct extension of the game you bought, it's extra content. It's not a right that you deserve, nor is it required that you buy it. Gearbox doesn't HAVE to make all of their DLC before the game comes out so that you can pay for it early or choose not to pay for it, or even make it at all. This isn't to say "oh you should be happy they're even supporting their game" or anything, just that nobody would even be complaining if they didn't release a season pass and instead just went with regular DLC in the first place. Considering it's not even going to be finished when the game comes out, you're not paying for more game to play because there ISN'T more game right now. The season pass is for people who want to play all of the DLC without having to pay for it when there IS more game, and instead pay for it right now.
borderlands DLC was epic i mean just look at dr ned zombie island it had a WHOLE new envinronment, quests, weapons characters, enemies literally like an expansion pack
borderlands DLC was epic i mean just look at dr ned zombie island it had a WHOLE new envinronment, quests, weapons characters, enemies literally like an expansion pack
What about the Secret Armory of General Knoxx? Massive new area to explore, many new quests, new enemies and vehicles, and a badass final boss fight. And Knoxx himself was a rather interesting character. He didn't even want to be there. He was the big bad and even then he was still just a punchclock villain.
If Borderlands 2 is a complete game with little to no content feeling missing from the game (it probably will be complete), then I'm happy with this pass existing, after all the DLC will actually be DLC, not fixing what should be in the game.
How can you tell if content is missing from the game?
Why, because the internet is all-knowing about everything!
How can you tell if content is missing from the game?
If stuff is glaringly obvious like in the files or something that could of easily been implemented like a certain horsemounted combat
If stuff is glaringly obvious like in the files or something that could of easily been implemented like a certain horsemounted combat
You mean the one that has been added in a patch ?
How can you tell if content is missing from the game?
I find a good way to tell is if they sell the real ending as DLC. Cough, Bethsoft. Cough.
I find a good way to tell is if they sell the real ending as DLC. Cough, Bethsoft. Cough.
that was actually a response to fan outcry for not being able to continue past the end [editline]31st August 2012[/editline] they retconned the ending with that dlc lol
oh god devs can make more content so that when you're done with the game and want more, you can get more!
Yeah it's fine that they release more content for a game, but not when the main reason is for more money
the main reason why any game is released is for money
That depends who's making it and what they think, like making games because they want to make good games. There's loads of free games that devs have released just to express creativity What I'm saying is every big, new game that comes out will always have DLC, and they try to push that DLC out as fast as possible, which I hate. New content is fine, but not when they're clearly doing it for money, like releasing DLC unlocks for money when the content is already on the disc. Clearly Borderlands isn't doing that, and their DLC does have lots of content, but I'm just saying that I hate how it's now the normal thing for game companies to do
Paying for things before they're done is such an awful idea, a popular indie game comes to mind. So i'm going to wait for the release, thank you very much.
Season Pass Boy, that escalated quickly...
its guaranteed that the dlcs will release on time, unless gearbox somehow went bankrupt which i'm kinda sure they won't be
I'm talking about the "we've got the money, we're not giving any more fucks" kind of attitude that naturally comes up by paying for something they didn't even start to work on. It's not guaranteed that they'll do that off course, but still, it's dangerous. It's a much better idea to wait until it's done so you can value it yourself.
£8 to get all 4 DLCs as soon as they're out is a great price imo scratch that, apparently the price is now £24
I bought the bobblehead version for 70 euro's and I don't mind paying a little extra for the seasons pass. After all you don't have to buy the game and/or DLC now do you?
I'm talking about the "we've got the money, we're not giving any more fucks" kind of attitude that naturally comes up by paying for something they didn't even start to work on. It's a much better idea to wait until it's done so you can value it yourself.
Because they would absolutely rush everything that thousands of people are going to pay for early with the knowledge and trust that they're going to give good content, and do that for no reason whatsoever except for having the money already, right? That's a perfect marketing strategy! :downs: EDIT: Oh wait no actually that's terrible and doesn't make any sense at all.
It's on Steam for pre-purchase and it's a tenner but gift-only right now. If you wanna get it for yourself, simply stash it in your inventory.
That's why everyone hates it. This isnt day 1 DLC, this is DLC they're only starting to develop now.
How is that a bad thing? This isnt day 1 DLC, this is DLC they're only starting to develop now.
Even the Mechromancer was a concept they came up with during development but didn't have the time or funds to put in before launch if I'm not mistaken.
Even the Mechromancer was a concept they came up with during development but didn't have the time or funds to put in before launch if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah. Here, maybe so you all arent throwing a hissy fit, think of it as a digital expansion pack. [sp]because thats exactly what it is[/sp]
Even the Mechromancer was a concept they came up with during development but didn't have the time or funds to put in before launch if I'm not mistaken.
We haven't even seen any actual footage of her. They've said themselves they hope she'll be done by Christmas. Which is sad because she's the character I want the most.
