Also I validated my game cache and the first time I had to replace 40 files and it still crashed, and I did it again and it had to replace only 1 file, no matter how many times I do this that one file is always missing on launch.
my mind just fucking exploded. i've beaten this game i don't know how many times and never realized that wow.
the best part? Situation : [sp]atris[/sp] loves exile... Solution; bioware: fuck them out of their mind Obsidian: mindfuck the player
the best part? Situation : [sp]atris[/sp] loves exile... Solution; bioware: fuck them out of their mind Obsidian: mindfuck the player
Why not do both at the same time, like Fear 2 or Silent Hill 3?
Chris Avellone always said he's no good at romance plots unless they die horribly at the end, which is probably why male Exile is much older than the women he meets. Yet the only woman he has a chance with is a psycho bitch with a babysitter complex. Also probably why in New Vegas, the only person The Courier has a chance with is Christine, but she's a mute and her face is all fucked up, and you? Well you're the courier and your face might be fucked up too. :v: Besides romances always seem to get in the way and pull focus from the important things in game i.e. Bioware.

My party of course consisting of a chick with a tail(hot) a man on fire (REALLY hot) a floating skull and a succubus

The "mmm fuck me" kind, the "OH GOD YOU BIT IT OFF" kind, or the "WHAT ARE YOU ARHG" kind?

So yeah no sex is involved here. She is voiced by jennifer hale however so... Yeah.

Chris Avellone might say he can't write romance plots but that was great.
This thread is in danger of becoming a circlejerk over Avellone's writing...and i'm ok with that

I've never played any KOTOR games. How do they compare to Jedi Knight 2?
I've never played any KOTOR games. How do they compare to Jedi Knight 2?
KOTOR is an RPG, and a DnD thumper at that one.
could't the sith in the cover(I think he calls nilithus) destroy planets with his force, or am i wrong?
could't the sith in the cover(I think he calls nilithus) destroy planets with his force, or am i wrong?
Sort of. His hunger was so great he used the force to consume all of the life on a planet, so what was left was literally just a dead star that couldn't sustain any life at all.
This may be obvious, but does KOTOR2 require you play the first to understand it, or is it like the Witcher 2 where you'll be fine if you haven't but appreciate some stuff more if you have?
This may be obvious, but does KOTOR2 require you play the first to understand it, or is it like the Witcher 2 where you'll be fine if you haven't but appreciate some stuff more if you have?
It's exactly like the Witcher 2 in that way. Why not just play KOTOR first though?
This may be obvious, but does KOTOR2 require you play the first to understand it, or is it like the Witcher 2 where you'll be fine if you haven't but appreciate some stuff more if you have?
Well I played KOTOR 2 before KOTOR 1 back in the day and enjoyed it but I think it's better to play KOTOR 1 first. KOTOR 2 talks about Revan and the jedi civil war that happened in KOTOR 1 A LOT and you won't understand what's going on without knowing what happened in KOTOR 1.
Sort of. any mention of Revan and/or Malak is heavily explained in KotOR 2, you wont be left out of the loop at all.
I absolutely loved Kotor I and II to death, replayed both of them like 3-4 times. I'm hoping for a Kotor III one day, but at the same time, I'm afraid of what they'll do to it (read: mass effect trilogy)
it wouldn't make sense to have an ending like mass effect because that'd be copying [sp] the ending of KotOR, i mean it's obvious the choice between destroying/using the reapers was influenced by the same choice on the star forge[/sp]
I've never played any KOTOR games. How do they compare to Jedi Knight 2?
Nothing alike. They're like Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc. JK2 is an fps through and through with a slight focus on narrative. KOTOR is 100% story based.

They're all terrible.
I bought the revan book a few days ago because I wanted to find out what happened to everyone. Needless to say that book never happened, TOR never happened, and the KOTOR lore is still waiting for KOTOR 3. Also I have a burned book. [editline]26th August 2012[/editline] [sp]And it killed t3 and the exile in little more than a hand wave, and none of the characters cared. WHAT THE FUCK[/sp]

I read the Darth Bane one he did, and I thought it was pretty good. I assumed the Revan one would be as well.
I actually like Revan but I think that was because I was listening to the dramatized audiobook so it was pretty cool.

I still have my boxed copy. Brb reinstalling.

It seems like it's all make to try and trump the previous super-weapon-thing in scale.
