I preferred BF3 to BC2 because BF3 had hit detection.
p important in an fps to have your bullets work.
Watch BF4 still kick COD's ass.
Pretty soon Battlefield is just going to be CoD with bigger maps and vehicles.
I heavily doubt they'll go for 2143
I don't want it to be better than cod
I want it to be a different game
Would you rather BF4 be worse then COD?

I remember that video of guy shooting someone at close range with shotgun and not doing any damage to him :v:
Uh... It says in the article that the beta for Battlefield 4 will be in the fall of 2013...
The article says EA's UK marketing team confirmed it. You never use a marketing team as a source for info about a game that hasn't even been announced yet.
Especially one who has proven on many occasions that they have no fucking clue to what they are talking about in matters like this. It was an obvious marketing error to release this info this early, or at all.
Call me when Battlefield returns with offline bot matches akin to the earlier games and decent modding community....which will never ever happen

I'd rather it tried to be different and good and end up being bad then keep going on a steady downhill trying to compete with COD.

I don't think you can even compare these games. BF3 was (supposed to be) a team/squad oriented game with objectives and vehicles (And we all know how this turned out, starting from the fact you can't even use your mic in game to talk to other players)
and cod is basically a simple to play, simple to master game where you walk around and shoot at ppl makein dem ded
Its just odd that they announce Battlefield 4 in a different game.. I mean they haven't released any details nor any screenshots from it and you can already get into the beta.
Same with BF3.

Use VOIP if you really care that much, In Battlefield 2 nobody used it either and 99% were lonewolfs.

I have no idea what you are even talking about.
You said "implying that Battlefield 4 will come out this year?" when nobody ever implied such a thing anywhere at all and the article flat out says this is something for fall next year.
Cool. Won't buy it though.
I'm fine with bf3 and bfbc2 vietnam.

Oh, you are correct on that part my friend, I posted that in a different thread, forgot to take the "Implying BF4 will come out this year" part. lol.
But anyway, my point was this...

Warfighter looks quite good anyway.

wait £40 for a PC game lol fuck off
Don't go for compromises, this is milking the name just like COD.
Well, EA are keen to emulate the success of Activision with the COD franchise. It actually makes sense now reading articles that, one year they release a MoH game and the next a Battlefield game. I do agree with you how it will ruin the name.
They could regain fan support by changing BF4 to BF 2144!
Dident EA say something about a 2143 awhile ago? Could this be it?

Did you ever play project reality or forgotten hope 2? I assume not.
Did you ever play project reality or forgotten hope 2? I assume not.
That isn't Battlefield 2, I thought we were talking about Battlefield 2 and not mods for it. I assumed Battlefield 3 to Battlefield 2 was a fair comparison.
That isn't Battlefield 2, I thought we were talking about Battlefield 2 and not mods for it.
The point is such mods might not have had a chance to work as well as they do without the inbuilt voip.
And hell, on servers where people actually wanted to be a little organized in BF2, people DID use voip, I know I did at least. It was hardly wasted, "lonewolfing" wasn't really as effective or fun in BF2.

BF3 has no mods so that is not relevant. I thought we were talking about BF2 vs BF3. My bad! Every single squad I've joined as had nobody using VOIP, maybe one person but nobody else cares.
Anyone with any bit or organization will use a third party VOIP program such as TS or mumble.

Mods that you have to go out of your way to take an interest in and download yourself do not have the same playerbases as the people who walk into walmart, see a box, and go "A guy with a gun? This game looks sweet!"
For the record I played Project Reality and it was still mostly lonewolves and retards :v:

Ok, I withdraw most of my statement. Still wouldn't expect BF4 (or whatever it is) until 2014.
Good thing i left BF3 when they released "Elite"... or premium or whatever.

Was a while since I played but, part of it is playing with a group and the ingame VOIP helps immensely in that regard. Without a group to play with, anything feels disorganized, the thing with PR is you sometimes get people who voluntarily do join your group when you're in a server, but don't necessarily hop on your teamspeak or voice program of choice.
But yeah, it definitely isn't the same playerbase, I agree with that :v:

Stupid reason, it doesn't changes the game at all.
let's hope it won't use Battlelog.
Stupid reason, it doesn't changes the game at all.
Yeah it's basically just a slightly better deal on the DLC
If that's all it takes to make you leave the game, then you might as well just leave as soon as they announce any DLC.
Instead of making it another "hyper tacticool modern gritty DUBSTEPPP" game that's made every two months, why not make 2143?
Ea thinks anything new will proceed with zero sales, but that's bullshit, you'd have more people who really like the subject matter that won't play only casually, they'll play it even more.
Also it's pretty funny how people are just NOW noticing that BF games come only a few years apart.
They've only been doing that for what? A decade now?
