Guerrilla was third party and Armageddon and The Third are both being done in-house.

Red Faction Armageddon was done in-house.

SR2 was done by a terrible 3rd party company that burned in flames anyway. Check out Red Faction: Armageddon, if that runs for you well then SR3 should too since RFA was done in-house.

I keep telling myself not to preorder any more games, but I am also 100% sure I am getting this game, I've been looking forward to it ever since I beat SR2 and hoped they would make a third.

I'm actually liking SR2 despite it being an awful port, so I'm definitely pre-ordering this.

If you can't understand the hype after seeing all the stuff released for this game then I don't see how you can be hyped for well... anything.

The Red Faction Armageddon PC port was quite great and I didn't see any problems with it and since the same team who did the RFA port is doing SR3, I'm not really worried about the PC optimization.
