saints row 4 looks like what saints row 3 should have been. 2 was silly, but only in the sense of the ridiculous amounts of violence and destruction going on. it still had really great dramatic moments and action sequences. when 3 came along all "hey its all silly and fun, this is what you guys want, right?" it just felt awkward. like, "lets take sr2 and put some dildos and hoverbikes in there. yeah, it's more fun now" instead of actually going properly over the top like sr4.
they might as well not call it saints row, now. but that's not to say it doesn't look really awesome.
they way i look at it is that the world (in saints row) is a crazy place, its just hard to see the crazy from the bottom. as the boss and the saints rise the big picture becomes clearer. the boss' own craziness only adds to this. then aliens invade earth. shit happens.
