What's the point? Everyone's already running it into the ground about how bad it is.
What's the point of even releasing a demo after a game has been out for so long?

Hey. What if somebody wants some tiger stripped american assault rifles?

It's the new fad, Modern Warfare 2 did it, Halo Reach did it, Blops did it, Homefront on the 360 got a demo not too long ago and now on the PC.
I tried the MP demo on xbox, and I actually liked it, maybe that was because I absolutely dominated in the few lobbies I played, but the MP doesn't seem too bad on first look.
So companies complain about how demos are just extra cost and work for them, but then they release it for a game months after it's really and long after everyone hated it. Way to waste your time and money.
So this is basically Duty Calls 2 - and now they've given us it for free + the amount of time you'd actually spend on it too!
They should pay me to play it

They wait until sales drop, then release the demo in the hope that some guys play it and think "holy shit this is actually good, I missed this" then buy it. Homefront seems pretty decent, but not worth my buck.

If they released the demo early on surely more people would be inclined to buy (in this case less people)

Not really, if the game turned out bad, the demo might put people off buying it.
omg cod shouldnt be a game companies should follow and imitate
I heard the multiplayer was alright. Might get it if it has a ridiculous sale during the summer sales.
Cool, so when are they going to release the full campaign?
I enjoyed the demo :ohdear:
What's the point? Everyone's already running it into the ground about how bad it is.
It's not that bad a game, at points it feels like a battlefield game.
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
It's nowhere near a 'battlefield killer' though, unlike what they originally said it would be.
Just like their last game.
