I bought the Orange Box when it came out and thought I won't use Steam for anything else. A week later I noticed Garrys Mod and made a PayPal account to buy it. Now I have 281 games at Steam and when you search for "gmod" at YouTube, my dumb machinima is one of the first results. Thanks Garry!
I can tell you how HORRIBLY wrong you are because when you got it, it was idiots and i was in it.
Happy birthday gmod.
have fun.
Boy am I glad I got into gmod. Years of fun, that, and I still play it all the time.
Makes me sad to think I haven't played it in months.
I remember being frustrated as fuck when we went to Gmod 10 and broke all the cool stuff from 9.
Like those fighter drones with docking stations you could place on the map.
Happy bday
I haven't really played much gmod in the last few years, but playing it today made me realise how much fun you can have in a $10 game 5-6 years on. Thanks garry and happy birthday gmod!
Gmod was what introduced me to source, and mapping. Gmod was also probably one of the biggest games of my childhood.
1300 hours, still not bored.
Happy Birthday Garrysmod, funnest times ive had. May it be a great one!
Happy birthday GMOD.
Met a lot of cool people in the game, and still talk to them today.
RIP Garry's mod 2006-2011
Wires and Expressions broke its heart.
happy birthday gmod!
stay classy
Happy Birthday Garry's Mod! One of the best tools I have used for quite a while, well worth the $10
Happy birthday Gmod, thanks for wasting my precious time trying to pose meaningless ragdoll models to get a couple ratings.
Best years of my life
I still love playing TTT
Can you release that new gmod now
Without Garrys Mod there would be no Spike and Barley D:
Happy Birthday Garry's Mod!
I am not good with words or with gramar, but from my side, I'd like to thank Garry himself for
this awesome little modification that changed my life in every possible way.
I made friends in gmod, played with them, build with them, fought them and I still love them to this day.
I got more interrested into modding and modeling, I started to make my own skins, made textures for small projects, machinimas and for the community.
I learned basics about photograhpy and filming which got me interrested into machinima.
Today, I can look back to over 30 machinimas, I have been participated in and a handfull I made myself.
Trough that, I got a contract with machinima.com which financed equiptment, games and school for me.
In every application I send away for a freelance job, there are some Gmod related things in my portfolio.
Without gmod, I'd never be involved in the videogame industry as I am today.
And I still take some time for a quick little pose in gmod or to test out new user made content.
Garry's Mod... that's 4 years of memory for me... good memories I will never forget.
Thanks Garry, for 4 great years.
And thanks to the community for models, scripts, mods and gamemodes that made gmod to what it is today.
Happy Birthday to Garry's Mod.
I used to think JBMod was better just because it was free, after a friend gifted me Garry's Mod one Sunday afternoon that logic of mine was soon buried away along with my poor grammar.
Gmod 10s Birthday a day after my own! I too have gmod to thank for my games dev inspiration and resulting computer science qualifications, before gmod I was just a dumb 13 year old chav with no future prospects. You truley have changed my life Mr.Newman! Thanks bro.
Happy birthday virtual-dude!
I think this was my first free gift from someone else. Thank you "personwhichIwillnotrevealitsname"
Happy birthday to the mod that got me into PC gaming and Half-Life
Happy birthday Gmod!
happy birthday Gmod.
Its community may have its strengths and flaws (but mostly strengths), but the game continues to amuse me.
1706 hours not gone to waste.
Can't wait for Gmod 13. That'll be great :D
Garry's mod has launched my game development career.
Thank you garry for such an amazing game.
I always thought g-mod was fun when I was a kid when I played g-mod 8 or whatever it was, but I could never build things. I just fucked around with sweps killing countless npcs and messing around with nukes and shit. Still to this day I suck ass at being creative in this game.
Yay.
Valve broke Gmod as a birthday present.
Still one of the coolest mods ever made and still blows a shit load of similar games out of the water.
Happy birthday gmod!

Happy birthday GMod, can't wait for GMod 13, it's going to be a blast!
