Wait, does it work like that? I can't pay with US dollars can i?
I think Paypal auto-converts it if you use it.
Still one of the best games out there. Too bad SA:MP doesn't work with the Steam Version.
Funny though how normally everything is really expensive on € steam, but now it's the complete opposite.
I remember playing this on my PS2 back in the days, definitively going to buy it now, never finished the campaign!
For those who can't buy it for region crap, use this link: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us
So it's really possible to bypass the region thing from the store, and buy games on dollars instead on euros?
[editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
That seems a little too good to be true
I'll admit, I played it through illicit means before, but now that they've made this deal I've paid for it with real moola. Totally worth it.
The question now is should I complete my 90% save file or play multiplayer? Can someone confirm that these directions for playing MP with the steam version are accurate: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1336083
Only played the PS2 version, did they add anything to it when they ported to the PC?
YOU A BUSTA CJ

$3.75...not bad at all.

If that really works for other games you are my hero.
Can anyone gift me this game?
There, I said it :smith:
Man. I hate having no way of purchasing things online.
My first experience with San Andreas Multiplayer went totally wrong. I joined an RP server, thinking it'd be pretty sweet. After spending a few minutes reading the commands, I found out I couldn't drive until I had a license. I ran to go take a driving test and drove around the town for about 5 minutes, only to crash into a guy motorcycling on the wrong lane of the road at maximum speed, sending him flying and damaging my vehicle. I was forced to end the driving test early, and needless to say, I was pissed. The victim of my car accident casually got up after being sent 15 feet in the air and sliding 50 feet across the pavement and strolled up to me and asked me in Romanian if I wanted to buy guns from him. I ragequit immediately.
Take my money steam... you deserve it!
Well I guess I no longer own a reason not to have this game.
No, simply changing the region does not work.
I have SA retail but I probably will buy it again to have it at Steam. I wonder why it's available here in Germany, usually it wasn't.
About my first experience with SA: I didn't have enough cash to buy it so a friend came over two or three days after he bought it. He was already in Las Venturas and he completely ruined my experience by showing me EVERYTHING the game has to offer before I could play it a single second. All special vehicles, all minigames, all features all remarkable details in the world, there was nothing left to experience apart from the missions (he only told me about them).
Does Steam still recognizes the game when I downgrade it? Will the overlay work and the time be counted?
Sold. Installing now. Anything I should know before I play it for the first time?
Get your self a nice cup of hot coffee

Are you kidding? That's what happens normally. Just two days ago I ran over a family of four and knocked them off a bridge. They came back and tried to sell me heroin.

Hot coffee isnt in the steam version!
You guys should also get the enbdev mod for it, it really improves the graphics high res reflections and post processing for example.
I'm still on the Wu Zi Mu racing mission in my PS2 save
Crazy bob's cops and robbers is the best RP server in my opinion. I used to sometimes just join as a criminal, do as much as I could to get wanted, and then enjoy a dramatic police chase.
I once flew my plane into bunch of cars at a drag racing event which was held in some small airport.
I logged off on impact, my friend saw the whole thing, I blew up all the cars and my plane. The admins tried to find my nickname after, didnt manage, I logged in the next day and was never caught.
Good times
I didn't know GTA SA was that low, even without the discount. Guess where my money's going today?
Now I found out my old copy's saves aren't compatible. Apparently, 1.x saves aren't compatible with the steam version (3.0) but 2.0 are.
EDIT
I found a save editor that let me convert my old save to 2.0. Loads just fine. If you use it, you just have to edit the first 4 settings in the General tab of the program.

For anyone that doesn't have this game. Get it. NOW.
