i'd pay for BoI to just not use flash tbh
I'm conflicted. I'm all for it being re-made in something other than flash, but I'm not too keen on buying it again. I mean yeah it'll be like ten bucks maximum but still, stings just a bit.

I'm always up for more Binding of Isaac, can't wait

The binding of Isaac was an amazing game, i wouldn't mind shelling out some more dosh for a more updated game. Hell i felt bad buying the binding of Issac for 5$ i felt like i should have payed more.

An expansion which is effectively twice the size of the original game.
Isaac was a steal of a price for the content it offered. Can't wait to see what this one looks like.
Thanks for buying my game, buy it again now thanks.

or maybe flash bugging out was his whole plan all along...
That's probably the most egocentric case of paranoie ever! "He's remaking it! BUT I ALREADY BOUGHT IT!!! He's doing it to SPITE ME! Well here's news for you, i ain't biting so you might as well stop!" Lol...
$$$$
you think you're clever, until you realize the game runs on flash, and thus is very very very limited
Yeah that's my hesitation, too. Edmund will apparently still handle the art side of things, but beyond that he's gonna be busy with "GAME 2" so who knows how this will turn out.
Well. Much like with every other remake, we've still got the remake. I sorta wish more people would go into remakes with a more open mind, but people behave as if the remake suddenly also exploded the original on their shelf. Look no further than MGS:TS for that kind of retardation.

Really looking forward to this. Can't wait for the co-op and new items.
Holy shit I can't wait, I've always wanted co-op for Binding Of Issac.
Well I only payed about $6 total for the original game and expansion AND soundtrack so I have no problem buying the brand new super-polished version with more content and co-op. It's still value.
Isaac lags so much for me it often makes beating it impossible on harder levels with huge amounts of projectiles and enemies. Hope they do a bit of optimizations, really enjoy Isaac from what I can play
Hate to break it to you but the art design is being totally redone, in a 16 bit style. [editline]29th August 2012[/editline] Yeah that's my hesitation, too. Edmund will apparently still handle the art side of things, but beyond that he's gonna be busy with "GAME 2" so who knows how this will turn out.
I'm not very hyped for 16 bit, I feel like its way too overplayed in indie games. There's no reason to be ~retro~ if the gameplay is very different from the games it's trying to mirror with the artstyle.
As far as I know, the game was coded in ActionScript 2 which was superseded by ActionScript 3 in 2006, which could partially explain why it's so slow right now. But still, I think it's neat that it's being remade.
Neat, since he is rebalancing the game hopefully he can nerf this asshole or atleast give the bastard some animations to show when he will use his beam attacks. I can't tell you how many runs this guy has ruined.
They actually tried to get it onto the Nintendo eShop, they refused on the grounds of religion.
Yeah that definitely sounds like Nintendo.

Android/iOS version please.

Any estimates on when we'll see a sample of this? Or even just to find more info about all this? Just curious.

Just curious.
Nothing's been announced about it being 16-bit. Edmund said he's doing all the new art in the style of the current game, and then the team that'll be developing the remake can do what they want, but he has final say in how things look. Check his Formspring for info on it.

I spent like fucking $2 on this and I got about 16 hours out of it. People are acting like this is a big deal that you have to now spend probably another $2 for it. Ill gladly pay $5 for it to not ever be on flash again and Co-op sounds amazing.
I paid about 2 dollars for this as well and got 56 hours out of it so looking forward to this.

Probably my favorite game in the last few years I'd pay huge amount of money for more content, coop and no flash.
20 hours and i've got two Mom kills, of which none show up in my statistics.Normally i'd bitch about bugs, but with this game... Challenge fucking accepted asshole. We used to stack games like you yay high (gestures at chest height) in Korea and use you for sandbags!
