I'd be satiated with a second analog stick and I'm more than satiated with the newest pokemon games. So no nintendo it's not that I'm insatiable, it's just that you're either gotten lazy or stupid. I mean the PSP had the same problem having only one joystick and you didn't learn from your competition's failings?
"And so for years this community has been asking, 'Where's Pikmin?' 'Where's Pikmin?' 'Where's Pikmin?' We give them Pikmin. And then they say, 'What else? For years, this community have said, 'Damnit Reggie, when you launch, you better launch with a Mario game.' So we launch with a Mario game, and they say, 'So what's more?' I have heard people say, 'You know, you've got these fantastic franchises, beyond what you're doing in Smash Bros., isn't there a way to leverage all these franchises?' So we create Nintendo Land and they say, 'Ho-hum, give me more.' So it's an interesting challenge."
Just because you gave us one highly requested title and one highly over used title, does not mean that our request for more is insatiable. It means you're not giving us what we want in the first place. I can name off over a dozen titles that need to be released. But the only two he mentions is a game that everyone knew was going to happen anyways (Mario, let's face it you're basically going to have a new game every 6 months or so and with the release of a new platform you're guaranteed to be released again and again). And as for Pikmin, well yea a lot of people want it but I don't feel that there was as much demand for it as he makes it sound.
I feel he's being ignorant. Completely ignoring the fact that the fans want games that Nintendo won't give them. We want change. Keep Mario coming out as long as you want, he remains to be the best game but for crying out loud give us something NEW.

It's too late to add a second stick now. Personally I am not going to trade in my 3DS just so I can play 3DS2 games. Money doesn't grow on trees. Just buy a Circle Pad Pro equivalent. Personally I vote you go for the one that has a battery pack and game case built in. Protects your 3DS while providing apprx 3 hours of extra game time.
hey
hey nintendo
here's an idea
make another Mother game you clearly dont realize how much people want one seriously Reggie if you would even announce an english Mother 3 port for virtual console thousands of fans would line up to suck your dick
What about a new Mario RPG?? Mario 64 was amazing, Super Mario Sunshine was amazing, Super Mario Galaxy was pretty good even though i never got to finish either game.
Article about Nintendo president thinking fans demand too much. FP's response?
New IPs maybe?
I want less focus on Mario and more focus on Bowser and Yoshi games.
A game based solely around Bowser; Bowser's Inside Story doesn't count, as he's still second fiddle to the Mario bros.
And a new Yoshi game; The Yoshi Island games are nice, but I want a 3D one for once, the story book pop-up stuff is getting old, since EVERY yoshi entry does it. Mix it up a little, Nintendo.

Make a 3D earthbound Nintendo.
I wish they went back to the principle that they had with the N64. That system had such a wide verity of titles it wasn't even funny. Cool thing was the only process that the developers had to go though was to get Nintendo seal of approval.
I understand they're targeting the casual crowed, that is fine. But don't get mad when your hardcore fans are getting mad. They want a more mature and adult console. Not some kiddie one.

Earthbound is a fun IP, how about making a new one?
Or a new fucking Star Fox game?
Everyone bringing up a new Zelda and Mario like we didn't have those last year already, not a single soul mentions what they must do, a new F-Zero. Mother series is over, he said it was over half way through the development of mother 3, any begging for one of those falls on deaf ears. Why not the ask for the fastest god damn racing game ever now that online can actually do 16 human players.

He probably doesn't want to live it down. It's a free marketing phrase that works in a lot of situations.

They did make new IPs, through their 2nd-Party developers.
As it stands, there are more colors you can buy the 3DS in than there are good games for it, and that doesn't include LoZ:OOT because everybody has played it already on the N64, Gamecube, or Wii hundreds of times over. There's a reason fans aren't satisfied, and that's because they've essentially been playing the same few games over, and over, and over with minor differentiations. And the third party games they've provided so far are usually horrendously awful games based off insignificant tv shows like fucking American idol or something.

Financially, new IP is the biggest risk you can take. Especially since their previous attempts for the past nine years were all miserable failures.
