I'd love to see actual climate change in the game. Making Resources dwindle the worse it gets, Nuclear war having significant impact on it, and the game, having gone on long enough, turn into something like Battlefield 2142's setting. Ice melting and flooding, Fertile land being harder to come by. That's an expansion pack I want
Oh this makes me hope so much that eventually the Civilization series becomes an ultimate mix of Alpha Centauri and Civilization. You can have the choice of using clean energy and keeping Earth healthy by not using Nuclear warfare, or you can continue to use dirty energy and nukes turning it into something of a wasteland. Eventually the governments are forced to take matters to space where you inhabit different planets and moons and spread your civilization that way, practically never putting a cap on how long games can go on.
What's that unit on the left of the picture by the way?
What's that unit on the left of the picture by the way?
Great General?
What's that unit on the left of the picture by the way?
I assume it's a siege tower.
Can't wait for this...civ V is in my top games of all time. Also you're missing out on so much if you don't have Gods and Kings...was pretty disappointed with Civ V myself til I got it. I really say all that though forgetting how ridiculous it is you can't play mods in MP....huge, HUGE hole in the game without that. You can't even play on custom maps, or even some of the scenario maps from SP like the Earth map...which honestly is half of what I would otherwise play in MP.
This is first civ game that has Polish nation. At last, Poland will conquer world!
Civ V could be better if it included matters of climate change that would affect happiness, crop yields, growth rate and what not. Or "Dark Age" Events which would be the opposite of golden ages. Or anything could have other effects that could be important, Plagues, specific resource shortages, rebellions.
finally i will be able to invade poland as germany.
You mean Ghandi will be able to conquare another nation.
So a civil war and an imperialist scenario? I'm looking forward to this.
I'd love if the eras in Civ V were longer. You fly through time and don't really get a chance to enjoy the middle ages or renaissance. And even if you play on Marathon (or download a mod to make shit even slower) you still have barely any tech or units/buildings unique to the different tme frames.

I hope the people will actually say something when I start nuking the shit out of everyone. I was playing on the World map, nuked the entirety of Asian, the middle east and Russia, and no one said a damned thing.
Wait, so if it's a Civil War scenario, is it possible the Confederate States could show up as a new Civ?
Oh my god, the World Congress definitely reminds me of the Planetary Council from Alpha Centauri. This whole expansion reminds me of Alpha Centauri. ... I love Alpha Centauri.

Almost every leader in the world started denouncing, but not me. They all started denouncing Catherine the Great. "You got blown to tiny bits? Three cities completely removed from the map? Well you can't be trusted." At this point in that game I control all of Europe, all of Asia, half of Africa (Ghandi controls the South and Eastern sides mostly), and I have footholds in the Americas. Moroco currently controls Australia, they are the only thing there other than bandits.
Trying to figure out what in the world the new civs could possible be. Apart from Poland, I think we'll definitely see the Sioux and Portugal. But that leaves six civilizations left and I have no idea what they could be. Any guesses?
Canada, it's special ability is not having military units.
Wait, so if it's a Civil War scenario, is it possible the Confederate States could show up as a new Civ?
nah. I just played the Fall of Rome scenario and it has "civs" just for that scenario like the Vandals and Franks. You can't actually play them in the normal game, but they're in the scenario.

I got done reading brave new world a few days ago, hopefully this features all the fun stuff that book had, like people grown in test tubes, put on drugs to keep them docile and most importantly fucking everyone and anyone they wanted
Zulus are coming back for sure.
