I don't like when people refer to red colours as warm and blue colours as cold. The only reason we do that is because we associate red colours with things like fire (and hence believe red to be inherently 'warm'), and we associate blue colours with things like water and ice (which are generally cold). It's all just psychological conditioning.
If anything BLUE is the hotter colour. Did you/do you do chemistry in school? Ever used a Bunsen burner? Blue fire is a LOT hotter and more dangerous than red fire (well, orange/yellow fire, whatever). The yellow flame is even called the 'safety flame'.

By definition blue light is hotter. It contains more energy than lights on the red end of the spectrum.
We're talking about aesthetics, not the science of thermodynamics. Red is warm, blue is cool.
Well I guess I shall get myself some LED light bulbs now just to test them out. If they are bright enough to replace my current CFL and last just as long then I will get one, that they do not have mercury in them so that means disposing of them is safer.
I've had one CFL going for about a year now.. has not burnt out yet its been on alot.

I got like 7 of these in my house. They're built like fucking tanks and weight just as much too. They mimic a 60 watt light-bulb almost 100%. They're very neat. And expensive. But we got them on sale because Philips had a sale going sponsored by BCHydro (our provinces electricity company)
Edit: How is this funny? :v:
I just bought two!
