Metal Gear Solid 4. If you did not shed at least one manly tear at the last few minutes of that ending you are not a real man.
The Graveyard. :v:
Portal 2, no doubt in my mind. [editline]2nd August 2011[/editline]
Ending of golden sun: the lost age.
You stole my avatar =/
I thought Enslaved Odyssey to the West had a neat ending. Also Call of Juarez 1.
Portal 2, definitely. Being Pixar-like, definitely gave it a good feel. But I really liked what Red Dead Redemption's ending stood for. The setup, the moment in happened, [sp]and what happens after that moment, just completes and satisfies the whole game's story[/sp].
Mass Effect 2 The first time I played was so amazing I almost cried.
ME2 was spectacular not only story wise, but it was the most entertaining battle I've played in a while. Portal 2 was also very good, along with RDR in there somewhere too.
Personally I think there can be no best ending, only endings that deliver what they deliver best. Some endings can be intense and shocking, some can be soft and smooth (like Laughing Cow cheese triangles), some can be cold and bittersweet, and some can leave things open and uncertain. But personally for me, I found Portal 2 to be a rather happy ending from one perspective, yet also open and uncertain. Dragon Age: Origins' ending was also cool, especially when I had Sten in my party and he leapt onto the Archdemon's head and did some epic slaying (he also did some cool slaying to Flemeth), and when I finally plunged the blade into the Archdemon, dealing that final blow, it was awesome. (I didn't die though, thanks to some arcane hankey-pankey with Morrigan the night before)
MGS3 definitely had the best ending for me. Hell, the whole game was brilliant.
Duke Nukem Forever's ending. Because it ended.
I loved dues ex's ending. Usually games that have multiple endings, it's obvious to me which one is the "good" ending, but with dues ex I actually had to think which one I wanted to do.
Halo 3 and ME2 are tied for me.
I preferred ME1's ending overall for the cinematics of the battle going on outside the Citadel, but ME2 had the more exciting final fight for me.
The Stanley Parable mod ending (s).
Hits harder for the fans that remember Halo 1's intro.
Silent hill 2 dog ending.
Duty Calls.
I've been disappointed by almost every game ending ever
I really liked the ending of Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. The CGI was spectacular and both endings were really satisfying.
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker had a great ending, it finished the story of The Boss and Big Boss quite nicely, while still leaving a little mindfuck here and there [sp]Paz's identity most of all[/sp].
I kinda crafted my own ending for The Lost and the Damned, because the ending was unsatisfying to me. After calling everyone up and saying my goodbyes, I realized there wasn't much left for Me, Clay and Terry in Liberty City, so I called them up to go drinking. Right after, we decide that what's the point of living here? I mean, we may as well make everyone who tried to hurt us pay, as a kind of "Going out with a bang". You know how it is, God forgives, the Lost don't. Anyhow, we grab the guns and explosives leftover from the final mission, hole up in a 4 way intersection, and let the bullets fly. It had to be a good 10 minutes we were back to back, gunning down hordes of police until finally I see Clay drop out of the corner of my eye. As I go to check if he actually dropped or he was just knocked off his feet, I get nailed by some cops and I'm about dead. The cops were about 5-10 feet away from us, in a circular mob. I look at Terry, and pull out a pipebomb. I'm sure that if he could communicate with me, he would've nodded at me. I pull the fuse and as the cops surround us, almost as if he knew, Johnny says "Lost MC!". I find that to be the true TLAD ending. So yes, that's my favorite.
Shadow of the Colossus. God damn is that an emotional end to a mostly stoic game.
S3&K ending.
The ork ending for DoW:2 Retribution left me with a fuzzy feeling inside.
Modern Warfare 2
I liked it :saddowns:
Portal 2 almost made me cum when [sp]I realised we were actually going to see the surface[/sp] That's all I can think of really
I really liked the ending of Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. The CGI was spectacular and both endings were really satisfying.
... both? There were 7 endings.
I don't get to play many games, but the one game ending I absolutely loved was the ending to Infamous 2. The good one, of course. Almost shed a manly tear. It was a fucking amazing game and I cannot stress enough how much you must try it. I borrowed it from a friend and beat it and it was amazing.
why? because it leads into multiplayer?
why is this rated funny?
