I have literally had a crippling problem with every single game I have ever played that uses GFWL, I fix it eventually but I shouldn't fucking have to.
I don't know why people bitch, if the game is singleplayer then just install xliveless and be fucking done with GFWL.

Most don't know of that... tbh if its a SP game then why the hell is GFWL even needed in the first place?
If it's using GFWL, then it will have a really obtuse way of storing your saves.
Every single time I install a new OS or format my hard drive, I have to start a new game in GTA IV because restoring a backed up save is impossible.
Weird, almost no one complained that batman1 had gfwl, but everyone seems to be rolling over that the second one has it.
GFWL is a pain to set up. But when it's up and running, it ain't so bad.
Nothing beats spending 12 hours trying to update a game that doesn't need an update because your version of GFWL decides not to update.

I don't really notice GFWL loging in when I run the game, but it's fucked me over several times, by deleting my save games. I didn't want to finish those games anyway.
This sucks.
GFWL doesn't let me sign in anymore, and i cannot figure out why.
Witch obviously means i can't save any of my GFWL anything.

Steam is actually useful because with it you can buy games, speak to friends, manage communities, and update your games while playing other games. Steam isn't just ONLY DRM, it's a social platform with a store and a huge community too.

Played Red Faction for like 4 hours, and then game crashes. And I didn't login into GFWL. :\

If you're implying that it's a fault relating to GFWL, it would more than likely be a fault with the game itself then.
Anyways I've had Shogun 2 crash on me many times, but I don't blame Steam for that.

You can? Usually when I launch a game steam instantly stops all updates and downloads for some weird reason.

I've never had any problem with GFWL in the years I've used it across a few different PC's no less.
And provided you've logged into an account before, when prompted to login you can hit cancel and play in offline mode. The only downside is that multiplayer won't work. Everything else will work fine, so they don't even require cracks (NOT THAT I CONDONE USING CRACKS, just that signing into a GFWL offline account works the same as what a crack would do, without anything being illegal about it).
GFWL wouldnt let me play any games for it for about a month, after a while it seemed to start working again but then it wouldnt let me sign in so i couldnt fucking save and after i finally get to play the fucking game lags like shit.
I dont know if the lag is GFWL or my computer but i doubt the latter.
I'd understand using GFWL only for multiplayer parts of games, you need internet connection for that anyway, but needing to save games in singleplayer? That's just bullshit. They can fuck right off and shove it up their arse. I refuse to pay more than 5€ for any game infested with this kind of DRM bullshittery. Vote with your wallets guys, wait until Steam sales or something like that to get it.
I usually get a GFWL patch so I can play my games without touching the fucking thing.
I'm looking forward to this game, loved the first, but, this is another reason why my respect for WB Games continues to be minimal at best.
Couldn't play red faction guerilla due to GFWL having a corrupted patch on their servers for weeks. I don't like it.
