Not sure if this is late, but you can use the previous design by going to www.youtube.com/home
[editline]3rd December 2011[/editline]
Yeah, it's late. Go ahead and rate.
Hate the new layout, especially how each new video uploaded by my subscriptions needs a partial description. Escpecially how freaking Machinima.com and IGN upload a fucking shit ton of videos in comparrision with my other subscriptions.
I'd rather it just have the video name and thumbnail of all the videos uploaded under a channel sub heading like it had before.
Why every good site changes their layout and site redesings, let it be! :smith:
Whipped up a fluid site design for all of you complainers out there. Only have the homepage fixed at the moment.
div#content-container{
width:100%;
padding:0;
margin:0;
}
#baseDiv{
width:auto;
left:0;
right:0;
}
#masthead_child_div{
display:none;
}
div#feed{
width:auto;
}
div#feed-background{
display:none;
}
#feed{
background: #fff;
}
It looks something like this at massive resolutions:

Is there a way to expand the text instead of it hiding, apart from that good job.
You sound like a bunch of old people who don't like changes.

way to generalize it like an idiot, for example I liked (or didn't mind) most of the updates they done, but this one was horrible
Yeah I don't mind updates, I mind shitty updates that remove functionality like this new one did.
Is there a way to expand the text instead of it hiding, apart from that good job.
i changed it a little bit since then to account for a couple of the other pages, but it also "breaks" some as well as I haven't specified behaviour for them yet. I just don't have time to work on it.

Is it just me or has YouTube gone back to the old homepage?
Only seems to be doing this to me on Firefox.
And now its back to the new one again, Disappointed.
My only major gripe with this new design is the fact that it is so incredibly confusing to navigate compared to even the last re-design.
Haven't noticed any other changes, but I hate the new "Favorites" page in your channel page. If you click one of the videos, it'll change to the video's page or open in a new tab, rather than just loading the video in your favorites page.

Goes back to the last update.
I usually don't mind new changes, but this one just sucks shit with a straw.
Everyone on FP claimed the old layout was shit too when it came out.
FP just doesn't like change.
Edit: Deny it all you want, it's still true.
I like change whenever I have a choice and/or it's nice.
Like if Dr. Pepper one day decided to add the flavor of horse semen to their drink and didn't have any regular Dr. Pepper pre-horse semen makeover in stores anymore, that would suck and it wouldn't be fair to the majority (who are the people who don't like it).

There's only so much you can do with a website. Youtube HAD a pretty much perfect design, there isn't much you can do to improve on it

Are you implying that Dr. Pepper tastes like horse semen
It's been looking this way for me for a few weeks.
Are you implying that Dr. Pepper tastes like horse semen
No I love Dr. Pepper.
I have no issue with this new design. I never really bothered with the account stuff, I only have one so I can watch videos tagged 18+.
I like how subscriptions are organized from latest to earliest, instead of channel.
I like the new design.
I like how subscriptions are organized from latest to earliest, instead of channel.
Well I fucking hate it.
As other people have mentioned:
Cluttered as fuck with random buttons I don't give one single rat's ass of/have any use of at all.
Wasted spaces on left and right hand sides
More useless shit
Subscription videos load by age and not by uploader - which clutters this fuck up even more.
All in all: It is so fucking idiotic.
It looks like shit to be honest.

All you've done is redirect to www.youtube.com/home
There was absolutely no point in releasing that.

It saves typing it in, and it also gets rid of the grey backgrounds and sets the youtube logo to go to /home, so yes there was.

Well I kind of like the grey background over the white, but it is just simpler to type it in and save it as a bookmark. Rather than have to delete it after Google change what youtube.com/home looks like.

I've never complained about any changes youtube made before, but this one completely destroys the overview that we used to have on channel video's and such.
They actually managed to show less in the same space by cluttering it with stuff.
edit:
Oh wow thanks i didn't know about youtube.com/home

This isn't for you then, this is for people that don't want to type it in/bookmark it and don't like the new colour scheme.
