Will we who bought the Digital Premium edition last year get the same content as the Enhanced Edition?

Yup. CD Projekt love their fans so anyone who bought it gets the update free.

And this is why I love them for it. They aren't like Capcom who want to make more Bullshit DLC or locking them.

That is really nice of them.
This is how you encourage people to re-play their games!

I can't believe the day has come that we have to be thankful for getting our patches for free, yet here we are. Being thankful and hyped.

Sometimes I am thankful a game includes proper controls and graphics settings. Such a sad state pc gaming is. Seriously how hard can it be to implement a mipmap level adjuster and lod level adjuster. What was once the norm today is a privilege.
Hopefully they fix the Steam version.

Except this is more of an expansion, so this was never seen as commonplace.
day 17, the day i will replay witcher 2,
I've been anxiously waiting for the enhanced edition, 52 hours played on the base game and I'm itching for another playthrough, CD Projekt are pretty much my favourite dev's now.
Welp, time to reinstall W2.
Am I the only one who absolutely hated Witcher 2? It was like they took all the bad parts of Dragon Age(and RPGs in general) and cobbled them together into a game with a lot of eye candy but little substance.

Whats wrong with the Steam version?
I have the game from GoG, but I was considering buying it again on Steam if it goes on sale for the EE next week.

Overlay hasn't worked for the past 5-7 months.

It's a good old content patch. Happened many times pre 2005. Even EA titles received extra levels/ scenarios after release at times.

Who cares about Overlay?

A lot of people. As for me, I really don't want to have to continuously alt-tab every time I want to look something up or talk to my friends.
does the patch download also apply for steam?
and what about saved games?
i played through part of the game already and don't want to start that over again so soon
Man I still have to beat the original. Of course you can't change difficulty after you've started the game, so I have to play on the hardest difficulty.
playing on anything less than hardest is not true to the witcher style.
Seeing they are adding new content I presume I'll have to replay the game from the start to not miss anything. I wonder what will happen with my current saves, just few days ago I finished the game with almost all the endings.
Also, I fucking hope they added some new kickass armor set in the easy/normal/hard difficulty. I'm annoyed they left the awesome armors in Dark Mode and even though Vran armor looks nice it doesn't fit Geralt much.

We really rarely have any Developers who are dedicated to their games, and going even this far, without making some pointless $ DLC.
Wicher2 is a excellent RPG game, they just kept adding more and more, all for free. It's some dedication to go all out, and making more improvements, as well as adding new stuff along with it. Even redoing the First Witcher too.
You don't see that many devs doing this, I hope they stay true with their games, more than being to make pointless quick cash DLC, Aka, Capcom and so many others are.
There are a lot of waste (trash) DLC. But there's also a heap of games with 5-10$ DLC that are all new games. Free content, on the other hand. We've come to take it as a given from valve (seriously, when they introduced DLC, they told us some would be priced and some wouldn't... On PC, we haven't yet had to pay. I guess the steady flow of sales cover this or what?), that they just give it to us. I mean, we hardly ever even notice a DLC release from them. It's just suddenly there. Meaty DLC? Well, at the top of the list are Bethesda and Rockstar. Somewhere way down there is DA2 content DLC. Legacy was pretty meaty, (like one of the DA:O treaty quests... It was longer than the Circle Tower!) and i expect MOTS to be just as meaty.

I love to look things up with their browser, but that browser is very very basic and extremely unstable. I can't even run tabs without rightclicking the link and forcing it that way. It doesn't try to guess your URL and it starts to get massive click and scroll delays once you've browsed more than 10 sites in a session. I'd rather they just open up for 3rd party widgets and let me have Firefox there... or Chrome or whatever our misguided youth use these days.
Would be awesome if they remade witcher 1 on the new engine and improved combat. I'd rebuy it for that.
