any britons with water would probably just make tea
i base my entire perception of britons on james may and he would defiantly do that crazy that he managed this but totally awsome playing fallout.... a game about a wasteland almost devoid of life...while living in a desert....almost devoid of life....where everything is out to kill you.... ok well fallout is probably not the game to be playing there... but there are others [editline]28th July 2013[/editline] also since its in a pelican case it is rugged enough to even survive out there, since those cases have a waterproof/airproof seal around the top, i don't think motherboards like sand
I bet he's gonna play some ARMA III. If I ever join the army and get deployed, I'm just gonna bring a nintendo ds and a tom clancy novel to keep me entertained during down time.
Yeah, there are sometimes long periods of downtime in the 'Stan, so we screw around on our computers. Then, your LT gets a great idea, and gathers up ethernet cables and a router. Then, this happens: [t]http://i.imgur.com/N4ZvVeZ.jpg[/t] Impromptu lan parties, just one of the ways that morale stays high overseas.
Now you can play America's Army while in America's Army.
That game discouraged me from joining the armed forces.. I kept dying.

I'd never be able to get a group from my company to do anything like that because "computers are for nerds, facebook, porn, and counseling statements" The closest to any multiplayer gaming probably would be fucking Madden, COD, or Halo on someone's Xbox.

We did use that for training but we mostly fucked around and died because no one knew wtf they were doing. It got to the point were one of the instructors just spawned a large group of insurgents and let me run them over with a tank. At the time I didn't know about Arma 2 or that it was use to create VBS2 so seeing it as a game itself was interesting.
We were playing Half Life Deathmatch. We also played COD4: Modern Warfare and Team Fortress Classic. My LT was kicking everyone's ass, he is the guy closest to the camera on the right in PT clothes. We had no internet up there, so only games that could be passed around on a disc were played. We wanted to play fun stuff, not America's Army (We didn't have a disc, and besides, way too hooah), and VBS2 is like a simulation. I haven't even touched anything with VBS2. EST 2000 is the closest I got to any sort of battle simulation, besides field exercises. But yeah, my Troop is full of people who absolutely love video games, and it was really awesome to get off the flight line after everything was done, and play some fun ass video games.
