Heres an idea:
Play 1.6
just how brain dead are you exactly
I just bought it this month because it was cheap.
cs go is the best online game ever

have you hit your weekly drop limit? it's 4 drops per week
I had one drop earlier in the week thats it.
I still don't understand why 1.6 ranks so high on population when every server for it is a redirect or just a desolate cesspit full of bots who've been on the server for hundreds of hours with nobody joining.
I'd love to play 1.6 or even Condition Zero, but nobody plays them anywhere near as much as they do CS:S or CS:GO

Best comeback.
Really, if all you have to say about CS:GO is "its not like 1.6", then go play 1.6. Or at least come up with some constructive ideas on how to make the game better.
So far I have loved every CS equally, all great in their own ways. 1.6 for the original feel, source for deagle mayhem, go for modernised fun. And I still play them all far normal play also, just depends how I feel.

What's so wrong about wanting a newer version of one of my favourite games? jesus dude relax. I'm not assaulting CS:GO, I like it a hell of a lot more than CS:S and I played the shit out of that game.
You gotta lay up, you're acting like I just insulted your family, I didn't. I expressed that I hoped the next CS game is more like my favourite CS game and instead of having a reasonable discussion, I get told to go back to CS:S for my OP deagle and to go back and play 1.6.
They are just cosmetic though? Where do they destroy the gameplay?

you mean they ruin it by changing nothing about the game mechanically?
It's just aesthetic change
Skins can actually change things quite a bit, especially in a shooter.
You need to be able to determine what weapon someone is using at a glance to determine the best way to counter it.
The more skins there are, and the more different from the base weapon skins they are, the more difficult this will be, thus decreasing the quality of the game.
I'll stay away from it as long as I have to pay money for a game with microtransactions in it
What is wrong with purely cosmetic microtransactions?

You tell him to relax but you called him brain dead? What is the point in making another 1.6? I love that CS as much as the next person but you sound like you are living in the past. How could you have possibly drawn an offended tone from what he said?

have i turned stupid or can I not edit my post?
I played CS GO a while back after i downloaded about 500mb worth of patches and i gotta say the movement feels better than what it used too

Nothing, it's just the fact that you have three already.
Fucking play Condition Zero if it bugs you that much

And russians.
It's sad seeing the death of CS:S.

The last update for CS:S was like what, a couple of months ago?
It used to be loved before most Source games got moved to SteamPipe (when TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM updates were jumbled together), but now that TF is on its own, so is CS:S and the other mentioned games, which also haven't gotten even engine updates in several months.
1.6 css and csgo are pretty well played here in nz and aus with the usual crowds, must be hella shitty for you guys in the us
and since when the fuck was the deagle op? fuckin silenced m4 is currently more op, ive seen more god damn jumping spray headshots with that shit
Wait, how is CS:GO more similar to CS 1.6 than CS:S is?
Someone's gonna have to explain this one to me.

CS:S was a far easier game.
Funniest thing is i quit after that update, skins ruin games like this.
Why not download the "no hats" mod if it bothers you? There's one for tf2, one for dota 2, one for cs:go.
(tho in tf2 there will still be bullshit custom weapons)
