So I suppose there's no point in owning anything but a single racing sim because they all have the same "feel"
No, but it does feel like COD now, as in, its not Halo anymore, but CoD with a Halo skin. Halo 5 is going to suck, it will probably sell well though, since people seem to like when Halo isn't Halo anymore.
Bungie didn't even stay true to the books, what works in game trumps any established lore, etc.
Bungie has always said that books and games are on the same level, Halo Reach was the only huge departure from that.
In my eyes at least, it seems like a dumb comparison. People hated CoD because it never changed. Now people are hating Halo because it's changing. I seriously don't understand what people mean by "It doesn't feel like Halo anymore." Sure feels like Halo to me, Halo 5 makes me feel like a super solider more-so than any other title did. Thing is there is always going to be someone who's upset about what's going on.
i still dont understand why the spartans need to aim down sights when the lore explains that the hud draws a fucking crosshair where the gun is aiming because the armor interfaces with a system embedded into the gun
there have been scopes on the guns since the first to be fair

Hell, I have a better idea, Make it like Halo 2/3, but, have 64 player maps, along with the 8-16 player maps as well, It would be more interesting, and, would be a change that still changes up Halo, but doesn't go far away from it. CoD is just the same, never changes, its just a reskin everytime since 4.
there have been scopes on the guns since the first to be fair
The scopes are accomplished in the books through the same method as the crosshairs though
The scopes are accomplished in the books through the same method as the crosshairs though
ya, but there's no way to really tell with the games. i'm not trying to justify their decisions, but i'm pretty firm in my belief that bungie was very tentative when it came to anything in the halo universe, and while i haven't played any since reach, i'm sure 343 is the same way.
The lore also explained that the POA never touched down on Reach's surface during the final attack, yet in Bungie's very own title: [t]http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/283/6/9/the_pillar_of_autumn_by_iforce92-d30g2ru.jpg[/t]
This caused nerd rage for me, and the fact that in the Book Reach got bumrushed instead of having an advanced covy team already on planet. And that you didn't get to play or see anyone from the book like Kelly, Linda, John, Fred, etc

And that you didn't get to play or see anyone from the book like Kelly, Linda, John, Fred, etc
Well we got to see Kelly and Fred at the end of Forward unto Dawn so there's a chance we might see them again soon in some form or another. On the topic of Halo not feeling like Halo, I recall someone talking about how map dynamics have changed and that there's no need to have some sort of control over the map anymore, I dunno about you guys but most of my best matches in the beta were when my team worked together to lockdown a certain part of the map. On the forge map for example we managed to split off into two small groups to lockdown both power weapons and dominate the opposition. Okay I can agree that it's not like Halo used to be but I don't see why that's such a big issue. Even when I first picked up Halo, I was often annoyed by the lack of sprint or some sort of ADS. Even then I hadn't experienced CoD. Sure CoD revolves around sprinting and ADS but that's no reason to condemn a game as almost plagiarising when in many cases, it adds to the gameplay - it makes it more open to new players. I've tried inviting friends to other games with specific playstyles like older Halo's or valve games for example and they all get pissed at the inability to sprint or ADS. I'm not saying Halo needs it but it should be there to accommodate new players. They have to appeal to the market or it won't sell as well. The changes that 343i are making to Halo 5 before release go to show that they are listening and that they appreciate views of the more stubborn fans. In the scenario of all the new stuff being turned off and being back to the good old classic feel of no ADS, Sprint or any of that. What makes it not Halo?
Well we got to see Kelly and Fred at the end of Forward unto Dawn so there's a chance we might see them again soon in some form or another.
Yea but I wanted to see them in Reach.
Bungie has always said that books and games are on the same level, Halo Reach was the only huge departure from that.
It's also the only game they claimed acknowledged the fuck out of the books, ironically.
