wow that actually sound like shit
I feel sorry for people who paid money to open it
As I watched the video yesterday with my friends, all I could do is stare at the screen for six minutes, mouth open.
He said it would be life-changing. He started fucking tearing up in one of his videos, saying he knows people don't take him as seriously anymore but that god damnit, this is it.
I may even go as far to say we were deceived. He said what lied at the center would be some beautiful secret, up to the winner to decide whether he wants to keep away forever or expose to the public. Like its going to be something dynamic that changes the way you view life as you know it.
Instead, the winner gets to play a role in his next crappy game and gets some money. :toot:

What do you expect him to give the winner better than this?
Fame and wealth isn't lifechanging? How the hell would he have done better? This is a cool new idea, and the opportunity to play god would excite me at least.
Depending on how Godus turns out, this actually might can be really neat.
What cut does he get of the sales? Why doesn't he get a cash prize as well?
I think this is as close to life changing as you're going to get. I was genuinely expecting "The true prize was inside of all of us c:", so this is a nice surprise.

World peace.
Curiosity was just a lottery. The prize is always going to be bullshit for the person who doesn't get it. It's sure as hell life-changing for the winner.

What did you guys expect? Seriously?
A gold statue risen on top of mount everest and 1 billion dollars in cash along with a new mansion and a boss position in 22cans?
How is being a huge part of their upcoming game and getting a cut of the sales profit from the game not a huge deal and lifechanging?
He gets free money as long as Godus keeps selling, FREE MONEY WITH NO WORK OVER YEARS, how is that not changing your life? Not to mention the amount of attention the guy gets and will continue to get over the years just thanks to him tapping on some cublets.
I really hope he's one of those guys who plays Call of Duty excessively and tries to add killstreaks to Godus.
Molyneux took a big risk here, what if it was just some bratty kid?
I don't see what all the people are whining about. You get free money and a lead role in a video game. What more could you ask for, for tapping your phone? (In this case, for an hour.)
What if everyone just pirated Godus.
Yeah this guy didn't even play curiosity until about an hour before he won - imagine how much more life changing it is considering that
he was just curious and did something now he gets profits for the next ages upon ages and gets to play god

Some excerpts:
Game Informer: Bryan, tell us a little about yourself.
Bryan Henderson: I'm 18 years old, I'm currently doing an internship for a student newspaper as a graphic designer. I play games quite a lot, since I was very young. My favorite games include Halo 3, Dead Space 3, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield 3, and Portal 2.
Given the nature of Godus and how you'll be shaping it, can you tell us about your own religious philosophies?
Well I'm an atheist myself but I'm okay with everyone believing what they want to believe.
What has 22 Cans told you so far about your involvement in the project. What are the first things you'll be doing?
I know just about as much as the public does, I'm waiting to get more details in the near future from Peter

Surprised he didn't mention Call of Duty
Didn't Molyneux say it wasn't going to be money?
Didn't Molyneux say it wasn't going to be money?
Yes, he re-states so in the video.
He didn't hand over a lump of cash, he didn't give a cash prize, he's giving him a share of their profits on sold games (although this is still on a speculative level since, yes, he did mention wealth and getting a cut of the pie but it could be something else).
Theoretically that means he could get absolutely no money at all, practically that means he gets a small cut of money over time that 22cans earns on sales of the game. It's not a solid number, it's not just plain "you won, here is money", it's an uncertain flow of money alongside other things.
