So its not addictive in the tradition sense but to avoid pain that would be associated with your body rejecting a limb you need to take it.
It might be addictive but they didn't go into it in the book if it was or not, the characters just had to take it every now and then. I wouldn't be surprised if the addiction thing is made up for the sake of Purity First's propaganda against it.
The only addiction thing mentioned inthe book was Stims, which is basically a super awakeness drug. Imagine coffee but much more effective and the withdraw+addiction levels or heroine. One of the main characters in the book is addicted to the stuff to stay away for long periods of time on her missions.
Definately one the the best live action trailers for a game i've ever seen.
Holy shit, the fucking live action trailer is a 1:1 representation of my vision of the future, without all the drugs and homeless people, of course.
Pretty high quality live action trailer. Reminds me of the Halo ones a while back.

That's why I'm saying it might not be addictive by nature but its addictive to avoid the pain.

Well technically it's not light, it would be plasma...
but I will stop there.
This whole situation would be better if the government put controls on neuropozyne to stop the price from rising so ridiculously quickly.
Who do you think controls the government?
