Notch better pay those modders for using their ideas.
Notch better pay those modders for using their ideas.
Even though Notch has had the idea longer than the modders have. He's expressed an interest in it many times.
ooh looks like im gonna have to move some buildings again
Millenare mod. It would seem a bit silly that you would be the last of your own race. So this idea seems pretty cool.
So will this be like all those mods that add random villages created by NPC Humans? That would be neat to see the idea being made official. I always wanted to not feel so alone in the giant world.
Everyone could get what they want if he would just add mod support already... burnt out on all these shotty ways of adding them to a server and all the issues they entail. We've all seen what a good mod setup can do for a game... I realize it's just a beta, but adding mod support would by far be the easiest thing to add, at least in comparison to everything that's been done so far/per update.

You're just digging and there's some torches and passages that lead to a big opening underground filled with poor buildings and mole people. The new mob will be a large roach that you can ride around down there, allowing you to become the king of these mole people. Not really.
I’ve heard Valve has released a video of Half Life 3. They were showing off how they figured out the mechanic of opening and closing doors. All you can do currently is open and close doors (does not work in multiplayer), but they are planning much more things like being able to fire weapons and possibly jump. You can pre-order the game unfinished to see the new door technology or go to Half-Life Con for $99 to see a live demo.
I just had to quote this RPS comment for those that don't read them because its such an awesome analogy.
It would be cool to see villages and towns that get dynamically attacked by creepers etc, and you can choose to join the defense or just loot the remains.
I just had to quote this RPS comment for those that don't read them because its such an awesome analogy.
that... doesn't even make sense in any context :geno:
eeeeeEEeeEeeEEeeeh. we'll see. I don't trust what Notch says until he makes good on it.
They are working on a C++ version of Minecraft, that should probably speed some things up.
Source? I'm really interested on this news
Source? I'm really interested on this news
Don't get your hopes up; they said that the Xbox version will be in C++ because Xbox can't handle Java. The PC version unfortunately will remain the same.
I bought Minecraft the other day and I played for a couple of days and then got bored! it definitely needs more to it and this should help.
