Games have been $60 since 2005, this isn't anything new. The 360 started the trend, and it came over to PC last year.

Thats due to publishing on consoles. PC has none of that, its just greed.

Developing for a console requires paying royalties from what I've heard, and the publishers push that cost onto consumers through the increase in retail price.

I see. Well that's only natural, it costs more to publish and obviously your costs for a product are supposed to be covered by the purchasers of said product.

But I don't think they really push it on the PC users. Every console game costs more than PC. Specifically 100 NOK more.

The brink free weekend is really starting to piss me off. It's downloading really slowly, and at this point it says I've only got one day left. At this rate, the free weekend will be over before I can even play it.
