THat's the most stupid thing I've heard ever for developing a game. "Our game won't look pretty if we add more to the gameplay! Let's remove that so it'll look pretty!" THIS is why THQ is having financial issues

That's your gaming industry overall today, every game I have played feels like something I played way way before, maybe not every single so someone won't be nit picking.
Calm down guys, he's talking about how reducing the size of the game's map would allow for more polishment, how is that a bad thing?
It's a smaller map but with more shit to do.
I can't disagree with what is being said here. Why are you guys getting so hostile about this?
Let's just say THQ doesn't have a great history when it comes to reducing the size of game worlds.
Darksiders 2 is FOUR TIMES LARGER than Darksiders. I don't think reducing the world size in Darksiders 3 (should they make it) would be a bad move if it improves the quality. Because fuck me, Darksiders was big as it was.
Because gamers in general seem to get-off at getting angry at developers so they can have a justified "told you so" attitude.
Except the article makes it sound like it's just a budget getting punched in the face

No, it makes it sound like they made it too big to really make it as good as they wanted to.
Take Batman Arkham City. They increased the size of that game by a lot. But did it make it better? Quite the contrary for me, I played through Asylum like a motherfucker loving all of it, with City I just got bored after not too long because it just got un-interesting having to fly back and forth everywhere all the fucking time in un-interesting looking places.
